     as far as lincoln was concerned , it was still business as usual . how the others were going to fit in or fall in line was something that time could only tell . they would either get with the program or they wouldn’t . for the moment , link’s attention wasn’t on the newcommers but instead the few walkers that had managed to get to the wall . it was only two and could be easily taken care of but she seemed to look up when she felt eyes . ‘  can  stand  there  or  you  can  take  one  of  them .  your  choice . ‘

    the  sound  of  two  gunshots  echoed  link’s  ears .  one  sounded  further  away ,  the  other ,  closer  and  for  a  moment ,  link  paused ,  briefly  running  her  hands  over  her  body  before  dropping  them .  sometimes ,  the  prophets  got  a  little  rowdy  and  it  was  all  she  thought  it was  until  she  heard  some  commotion .  she  saw  a  few  prophets  running ,  another  guy  on  the  ground . ‘  guess  we  missed  one , ‘  link  spoke  simply ,  looking  to  her  side  to  where  kevin  once  was .  her  eyes  travel  down ,  her  heart  sunk  ,  and  she  dropped  down  to  kevin’s  side .  ‘  kevin  ?  kevin ,  look  at  me ,  it’s  gonna  be  fine .  you’re  gonna  -- ‘  her  voice  trailed  off  as  she  looked  up ,  yelling  for  someone ,  anyone  ,  to  help  them .   @saintivcry​

   for  the  most  part ,  it  appeared  as  if   link  had  taken  the  whole  matteo  thing  quite  well  but  in  reality ,  she  knew  that  if  anyone  needed  the  support  and  comfort ,  it  was  eli .  they  all  may  have  loved  matteo  but  he  was  practically  eli’s  mini  me  and  even  link  could  see  how  hard  it  was  for  eli  to  keep  himself  together  but  somehow  still  managed  to  do  it . 

she  sat  out  in  the  dimly  lit  hallway ,  unable  to  sleep ,  looking  up  when  she  heard  footsteps . ‘  kinda  gonna  miss  him , ‘  she  spoke , ‘  boomi .  cute  kid . ‘

    it  had  been  a  long  night ,  for   everyone ,  even  if  one  could  argue  more  so  for  dalton’s  group  than  the  prophets .  link  had  taken  to  sitting  on  a  porch ,  watching  as  others  began  to  file  back  in  to  see  what  was  left  of  their  homes .  a  few  younger  ones  seemed  to  linger ,  teenagers  ,  link  presumed .  ‘  what’s  it  like  ?  ‘  one  of  them  asked  with  bitterness  in  their  voice , ‘  to  kill  people  like  that  ?  ‘  link  looked  up  then ,  offering  a  shrug  of  her  shoulders  at  the  question , ‘  easy . ‘

    ‘  no  offense  but  can  we  do  this  with  a  little  less  talking  ?  ‘  lincoln  had  never  been  really  chatty  .  even  when  she  was  a  kid  and  wasn’t  by  sol’s  side ,  she  was  quiet  and  kept  to  herself .  sure  ,  she  talked  to  kevin  and  she  talked  to  josh  but  for  the  most  part ,  she wasn’t  interested  in  small  talk  or  conversation  to  simply  past  the  time .
