★ — synopsis
in the hush of faron woods, link finds more than fresh water — he finds eyes watching him from beneath it. a river nymph, shy and reverent, begins leaving him offerings; lilies one day, stones the next. what begins as curiosity blooms into a fragile communion, a wordless worship between mortal and spirit. she learns his silence; he learns her warmth. when she finally rises from the river, trembling and radiant, their touch breaks the boundary between worlds — a quiet, desperate joining of water and flesh, stillness and sound.

the faron woods don't simply stand; they breathe. and link, leaning on the chipped slate of his shield beneath the bruised dusklight, felt less a man in them than a fragment of their untamed, half-feral solitude. the battle was long over, the shadow of malice a fading nightmare, yet he carried its silence in his bones. his quiet wasn't cold; it was the exhausted truce of a warrior who had simply run out of things to say. he moved with a grace born of constant danger, a hushed economy of motion that spoke volumes the hero himself would not.
the river drew him not with promise, but with necessity—a source of cool, clean drink, a place to wash the perpetual dust from his leather tunic. he knelt by the veridian stream, the water so clear it looked like liquid moonlight poured over polished obsidian. he was tired, utterly and completely, and watched his own reflection waver—a ghost of a hero, bearded and gaunt.
and then, he caught the movement.
it was there, barely a whisper against the reeds, in the space where his reflection should have been sharpest. you, a nymph, your skin a slick, translucent pearl, shimmering with the water's own inner phosphorescence. you were less flesh and more waterlight, your form coalescing just beneath the surface tension. your eyes, wide and startled as a fawn's, drank him in: the dust, the leather, the scars that mapped his exhaustion—the one that hooked across his ribs, the older, silvered line on his forearm.
you didn't move. he didn't breathe. for a moment, you were two points of absolute stillness in a churning world. your curiosity was a palpable thing, thick as the river's cold mist. you were watching the scar of his life, the evidence of his human, mortal fight, and it fascinated you, who had only known the smooth, ageless flow of the water.
in that heart-stopping breath, you were gone, dissolving into the lap of the current like a missed chord in an old song, leaving only a lingering chill on the air.
he didn't leave the river for three days. a soldier’s exhaustion warred with a primal, almost spiritual pull. he made camp beneath the thick canopy, sleeping lightly, but every moment he was awake, he felt you.
your presence was a subtle thing. a shift in the way the light fractured through the leaves, a sudden, soft pressure against his nape when he turned his back. when he woke the first morning, there were gifts—not the usual fruits or arrows, but lilies, their white petals still wet, left by the hilt of his sword. on the second, a cluster of emerald-green river stones, arranged with precise, silent care.
you were trailing him, an invisible current of awe and devotion. he could sense you when he ate his plain meal, the faint, crystalline laugh that echoed when he moved, and the persistent, hypnotic glint of waterlight in the corners of his vision. your world was water and echo; his was silence and scar. and your curiosity bordered on worship—a fascination with his quiet, solid, human stillness.
he began to leave offerings in return. at first, simple things: a smooth, fire-polished piece of wood, a single, perfect apple. he would place them at the river's edge, then retreat to a distance, watching the slow, expectant ripple of the water where you hid. he was learning your language, the communication of near-silence.
the trust began to bloom like the night-flowering water lilies, slow and agonizingly fragile. you were teaching him to slow his breathing; he was teaching you that the human world could be gentle.
on the fifth evening, the air was thick with the scent of wet moss and impending rain. link knelt at the edge of the deepest pool, his silence heavy and open, a deliberate invitation. he had just finished carefully polishing the hylian crest on his shield. he was clean, shaven, and waiting.
you broke the barrier this time, not with a vanishing ripple, but with a slow, agonizing emergence. you rose from the water, your skin translucent, like fine porcelain barely concealing a faint inner light. your hands—delicate, webbed slightly, beautiful—emerged first, resting tentatively on a submerged root. the water slicked off you in silver sheets.
link met your gaze, his own eyes the soft, mutable gray of the twilight sky. he said nothing. he simply reached into his satchel and offered a piece of roasted fowl—a human gesture of peace, of shared hearth and tangible nourishment.
your voice, when it came, was a trembling whisper, the sound of water running over polished stone, each word a precious, carefully extracted sound. "you are... not like the stories. you are still."
he nodded, a tiny, almost imperceptible movement, his expression utterly gentle. he held the meat out until you tentatively reached for it, your cool fingers brushing his calloused palm—the first, agonizing contact. and the forest hushed around them, listening with ancient, mossy ears to the soft friction of human and nymph.
the contact—a whisper of cool, smooth skin against rough, calloused warmth—was a catalyst. you didn't take the roasted fowl. instead, you let the tremor run up your arm, pulling your hand back just enough to rise fully from the water, stepping onto the soft, wet bank. the mud felt foreign beneath your arching foot, but the press of his gaze was a more powerful current. the air around you felt fragile, ready to break. link remained kneeling, utterly still, and you moved to him, your movements hesitant yet driven by a fierce, ancient curiosity that obliterated all fear. the water slicked off your skin in silver rivulets, and you settled before him on your knees, your entire being focused on the contrast: his smoke-and-leather scent and your mint-and-river chill. you reached out again, slow and deliberate, your hands seeking the real of him, ignoring the offering of food for the silent offering of his flesh.
you pressed your cool, slick body against the roughness of his tunic, the shock of his heat stealing the small measure of breath you had managed to carry onto the land. your fingers found the hard curve of his jaw, tracing the faint stubble with a reverence that felt like a blessing. your touch was a worship of the tangible, of solid, scarred flesh.
his own restraint, a wall built of years of solitude and duty, snapped like a dam. he pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around the slick, cool silk of your waist, and lowered you both onto the thick, wet moss. the evening light, filtered through the canopy, turned the world into a chamber of emerald and silver.
what unfolded was not a seduction, but a communion forged in mutual awe.
you kissed him first, a hesitant, exploratory press of cold lips against the heat of his. he tasted of smoke, dust, and something earthy and solid. you tasted of mint and river current.
"i want to feel... what is real," you whispered, your voice cracking, your chest heaving with a sudden, devastating human emotion. "i want to know your stillness. can i know it? can i find where the silence lives?"
he said nothing, but his eyes, soft and consuming, answered you. you were desperate for the feel of him, for the skin beneath the worn leather. you reached up, your fingers clumsy with need, and lifted the hem of his tunic, pulling it up and bunching it beneath his chest, exposing the pale, taut length of his abdomen.
he shifted, his silence heavy, leaning back to rest on the moss. his strong, silent hands guided you, settling you down onto him. you were sitting directly on the firm, chiseled plain of his chest. he was a perfect, warm anchor beneath your cool, slick body.
"oh, there," you breathed, a tiny, worshipping sound, as you pressed the delicate, sensitive skin of your core against the powerful ridges of his muscle. "you're so warm. such an... anchor."
you began to move, slow and continuous, an action driven by frantic, teary search for a feeling you could keep, a physical proof of his warmth. he was utterly still beneath you, a mountain you were trying to climb and claim. your movements were clumsy and desperate, all emotion, and he was the anchor, his hips slightly raised to increase the delicious, rough friction against his tight skin. he didn't speak, but his hands, calloused and strong, moved to your hips, pulling you down and setting a deep, continuous rhythm.
"i don't... i don't know the proper current for this," you choked out, your face wet with river water and tears of pure, needy overwhelm. your entire being focused on the joining, your hands clutching the solid muscle of his shoulders as if to save yourself from drowning. the hard, warm press of his body against yours was a painful, exquisite anchor. you were clingy, teary, your need a palpable, aching thing. "i'm afraid i'll vanish before you know me. do you feel the real part of me here, hero? am i solid enough now?"
link, the silent warrior, was utterly undone.
he let his gaze meet yours, and the sheer, overwhelming awe in his eyes shattered you. the only sound in the deep, ancient quiet of the woods was his own: a ragged, panting, continuous sound—a guttural prayer torn from his chest. his expression was a landscape of soft pain and deep pleasure, of overwhelming overstimulation from the slow, continuous motion. the ridges beneath you grew harder, clenching with every breath he released. he looked up at you, a silent offering of his entire being.
you moved faster, desperate to chase the sounds you were dragging from his chest—the heavy breathy sounds of his surrender. "i need your sound," you whispered, your voice catching on a sob. "i need to drown in your sound." you leaned forward, your wet hair sweeping across his exposed chest, and your hands left his shoulders to trace the flat, firm plane of it, marveling at the strength beneath you.
you cried out, your own climax starting as a dizzying fall, and immediately, link’s own body gave way beneath you. a powerful, gasping moan broke from him, the sound muffling against your shoulder, his arms tightening around your back, clutching your slick body to his own. you collapsed onto the warmth of his body, the skin slick with your natural lubrication, the entire area hot with friction, a searing, beautiful confirmation of your fleeting, mortal union.
afterward, the quiet was deeper than before. the only sounds were the soft, hypnotic lapping of the river and the gentle skritch of his thumb tracing the curve of your hip. he held you, his other hand finding the back of your head, fingers tangling in your wet, soft hair—a gesture of profound aftercare, a silent promise of safety in a world you both knew was fleeting.
"i felt your silence break," you whispered into his neck, your voice small. "it was the most beautiful music."
he simply shifted, nudging your chin up until your eyes met, and he offered you the softest, most exhausted smile you had ever seen.
you eventually slipped back into the veridian stream, sinking down until only your shoulders and luminous, heartbreaking eyes were visible above the surface. he remained on the bank, his skin still slick with the essence of your union, his body humming with a deep, wordless fulfillment.
he watched you, and you watched him. he stood and turned toward the dark path, but his gaze lingered on the water, his eyes unreadable in the dark. the river held its breath behind him, its cool, ancient spirit mourning the beauty and the melancholy of something half divine and half doomed.

Summary: you've long travelled with Link. now having a small rest between travelling and aiding Hyrule, you find yourself facing a vast expanse—of questions, and the possible future. the hero speaks so little, so many things go unsaid. but is it right that they do?
Warnings: unnecessarily flowery description? none
AN: this is an old piece i had lying around that i always meant to fix up a lil bit and i finally have! it's not really what i'd write for here (i did it more as a writing exercise years ago, so it's a bit... dense lmao) but i still think it's quite cute!
{Gender Neutral reader}
Link does talk, but only rarely (if i was to write this now, i would write him signing as i much prefer that interpretation!)
☾ ₊ ˚ ✩ ˚ 。 ☽
the rain had long passed but the two of you remained huddled beneath the stone canopy of an overhang you’d found. the evening was cool, the clouds slowly clearing to reveal a dusk sky adorned with stars. the moon was peeking above the lanterns of a stable below in the valley, and though it promised warmth, you knew you were heading in the opposite direction.
relishing in the peace and quiet, you leant back on your cloak, which was sprawled upon the ground to offer a protective layer against the cold stone and the odd crumpled leaf.
the small orchard across the path bristled in hushed tones, melding with the crackle of the campfire by your feet. their crimson leaves shivered in the night, knowing that there was no relief for them.
as a shimmering trail cut through their branches high in the darkness beyond, you couldn’t help but grin.
“hey, did you see that?” you asked quietly, not looking over to him. you’d been travelling for so long together alone, that there was never any other person you could be talking to. despite the odd occurrences that led up to your strange companionship—things you perhaps regret but would not change for the world—the two of you made a seamless team, and an inseparable one at that.
you’d forgotten to count how many days your time together was supposedly overdue moons ago; caught up in the excitement and awe of visiting new places and meeting new people. as well as facing monsters so gruesome your nightmares could never have festered them.
even now, you didn’t even consider beginning to trace it all back, despite the lull in the pace of your travels.
after he remained still in the corner of your eye, you glanced over as you spoke louder this time. “there was a shooting star! not too far from here i bet…”
your words gradually became quieter again.
of course he had heard you.
Link was without a doubt shorter than you, by quite a bit too: you could lean on his head with a slight stretch and you knew that from playful experience. but he wasn’t small—he never appeared to be.
whether it be how he charged into battle, a force to be reckoned with. how he glowed when he cooked, and practically cackled when he soared into the air on a fiery updraft of his own making. or how he rose to any challenge put before him, clambered up cliffs for absolutely no reason other than because he could, or how his eyes would glint so mischievously to the point that you wouldn’t dare turn your back to him, lest he spring chuchu jelly on you again.
Link was never small.
and yet here he was, eyes glazed over as he stared into the glowing embers, gold dancing across his face and casting his hunched form partially into pure shadow. his rough hands were pressed into the pebbles and dirt by the wooden pyre and you couldn’t help but wonder if that was a more accurate descriptor than you first thought.
despite how long you had spent in his company, you hadn’t heard his voice anywhere near as much as people thought you had. they would ask you in fake-sweet tones what he sounded like, how much he actually spoke, why he withheld his voice from them, as if there was something malicious in his silence. you never spared them your time and at most offered them an underhanded comment before following after him.
and so it remained that Link rarely spoke, and you did much of the talking for him. you didn’t expect him to speak, and never wished him to, and he seemed relieved by this. but as you felt an unfamiliar pang in your chest, you began to wonder if there could be an exception.
there was a lot of weight on his shoulders—not only the fate of the kingdom and its future, but the past as well. there were an awful lot of words on those lips that were never spoken. the thought of the sheer weight of them worried you, and carrying them around without respite even more so.
but you reminded yourself that the two of you were inevitably different. perhaps that’s why you worked so well together. although, it remained that talking problems out wouldn’t help him in the same way as it helped you.
frowning for a moment, you had an idea and shuffled across to sit on the edge of his cloak. he didn’t register your movement, so you carefully placed your hand on his shoulder.
Link snapped out of his stare, eyes meeting yours before the air that had been caught up in his chest slowly left him. he was trying to be subtle—you knew that before he offered that small smile he always used to cover stuff up—but you didn’t mention it.
“back in Hateno, when i was younger… my mother used to help me cope with my worries and fears, even though she didn’t know what to do,” you began, avoiding his gaze to look at his dirty cheek. there you met the familiar sight of the scar levied across his jaw.
you always found yourself gravitating to the lines of his past, now light and melded with his skin near perfectly; so many were invisible until his cheeks reddened in the cold or he stayed out in the sun for too long.
you could never work out what drew you to them. whether it was astonishment, in how they were etches of a century ago, trapped in the skin of a living being. or if it was curiosity, to know every detail he was willing to spare, even if they were morbid.
whatever the reason, you ignored it and pushed yourself to look him in the eye once more.
“what she did wasn’t… well, I haven’t done it in a long while, but… then again I haven’t needed it.” you smiled at him warmly, knowing full well he was the reason why. “and now that I think about it, it might help you.”
his gaze softened. he nodded silently, and watched intently while he waited for you to show him what you meant.
shifting behind him, you subtly admired his form. he was sat up straighter now, no longer as still as a corpse, instead poking the fire with a half-charred stick.
you readjusted your weight on your knees as you spotted a hole beginning to form by the collar of his tunic. you poked it absentmindedly, signalling to him its presence, before attempting to draw your fingers up to his hair.
at that moment, apprehension rushed through to your stomach and brought your hands to a halt.
you questioned yourself then, as you studied your weak hands. why would you stop?
it wasn’t like you were strangers, far from it.
you’d helped adjust his straps and bags numerous times before to save time in the desert. he’d untangled you from your own clothing mishaps when the storm whipped your cloak round your legs, and chased after your hat flung far off in the distance. you’d washed his clothes and he’d washed yours, and upon so many mornings had you awoken to yourself swaddled into his side after the night grew too cold and the fire had cooled.
and yet, nerves began to ripple through your stomach, like the pulses of butterfly wings, at the idea of touching his hair. of running your fingers through it, seeing it loose. somehow, this was different, and you couldn’t put your finger on as to why.
Link turned to look at you, his head tilting. knowing well what that gesture meant, you chuckled sheepishly.
he looked away from you again, nodding knowingly whilst he became focused on his hands. he began rubbing the dirt off his fingers, and with his distracted attention you took the opportunity to recompose yourself. with a brief sigh, you pushed through the apprehension while it was off-guard, and gently pulled the cerulean ribbon out from his hair.
the dirty blond tresses hardly caught the wind once they were freed, retaining their tied back shape. too long of a time spent in bonds, you reasoned, and the knots between your fingers seconded that as you gently combed through his hair.
you tried to catch a glimpse of his reaction by placing the tie on his knee, though to little success. he was looking beyond into the valley so you would have no trouble, but it meant that whatever he was thinking was an utter mystery to you. delicately threading your fingertips past his ears, you finally spoke up.
“my mother, when i was worried, used to sit me on her lap and get me to think about everything i was upset about. and while i did, she would weave a plait in my hair.” you took a lock of his and split it into three. “it would only ever be small, and we would just sit in silence as she wove.” you followed your own words, beginning to entwine the strands sitting in your palms, paying extra care to not accidentally tug. “when she reached the end, however, she never tied it, and just left it open. and then she would say, it’s all to the wind now.
"the first time she did it, she didn’t explain what she meant, and i didn’t work it out until later that day, when i pushed my hair out of my face one windy afternoon and found it missing,” you chuckled. “the wind had pulled the plait apart naturally without me noticing, just as it was supposed to do. it was supposed to take your fears away with it, though i never felt that it did—i found ranting to Ivee much more helpful personally, which is… hardly surprising.”
you waited for him to laugh at that, but your quip was met with silence. you leant round with a faltering grin to see if he was just smiling too, but you found you couldn’t lean quite far enough to see properly with his hair in your hands. all you could note was that his eyes were closed.
diffused, you continued nonetheless, “she often said things like that. Like, the wind would fix it all, and you just had to wait as the… that patience was the purest trial of them all and… other things that didn’t make a lot of sense. i’ll admit, it never got rid of my worries, but i did always find it soothing.” you pulled a final weave into the plait, your laugh fading into a small smile. “so, maybe it’ll help you.”
tracing your fingertips carefully over the rises and falls of the new braid, you waited for him to respond.
in the silence your mind wandered, and with every hush of the breeze your thoughts grew louder. Link remained still, offering neither a shake of his head or hum of disapproval.
no longer preoccupied, you peered round to see what was wrong, only to find his eyes still closed. his hands were still in his lap, the twig discarded by his knee, while his breathing was steady.
“Link?” you whispered, amused by how he’d seemingly managed to doze off sitting upright—it would be a first! Though before you could place your hand on his shoulder his eyes flickered open. You barely got the chance to be startled because of the way he was looking at you. And because of how close you were to him.
“sorry,” you stuttered, suddenly unable to look away from the bright dawn sky of his eyes. you tried to ignore the comments suddenly fluttering about in your head, and the one word they orbited. “i thought you’d fallen asleep, i didn’t mean…”
he was drowsy, but he smiled nonetheless. it’s ok, you recognised.
it most certainly isn’t, you thought, the voice in your head flustered. you’d never felt this hazy before, this giddiness in your chest. not when just looking upon someone's face.
you were about to make an excuse so you could move back to your side of the campsite and catch your breath when he looked back to the valley, frown sweeping across the horizon’s mountains to where that star had fallen.
and to your surprise, he spoke. “did you make a wish?”
you thought about it for a few seconds, unable to remember if you had or hadn’t. it had only been a few minutes since you’d seen it arc across the sky, yet it felt like hours had passed since then. “no… no, i didn’t. i guess… i’m not sure what to wish for. there’s so much in the world that it’s hard to choose. greater good, personal regrets, revenge, mercy…” you paused for a second once he had nodded in understanding. “did you?”
“no,” he answered. his lips remained parted as if he wanted to continue, but after a few moments they returned to a sad smile, his eyes dropping back down to the ground.
the crackling of the fire became the only sound to be heard once again as you watched him from the corner of your eye. he picked up the stick and poked at the silvering wood. still knelt behind him, you were thankful he couldn’t see your face. you struggled to hide your emotions, at least with him, and you were aware that your expression was likely one of blatant concern. yet there was little that could be done. there was a reason why he wasn’t talking about it, and it wasn’t tough to work it out.
in that moment, you felt a wave of powerlessness wash over you. your heart was no longer racing, and instead ached. your limbs felt like they were laden with iron.
the weight that he bore was not something that you could bear with him. there were no words you could offer that would make the absence formed of what little he could remember cut any less deep.
your arrow could not pierce the Calamity’s brow, and you could not wield the blade that could. after all that you had accomplished together, it was nothing in comparison to what he faced.
you swallowed thickly, finally pulling your hand away. slipping off your knees, you wrapped your arms around his waist and let your head rest against his shoulder.
“i’m sorry, Link,” you murmured, voice weak.
you didn’t dare look up when you felt him turn to you. whether it was a quizzical stare or a blush you knew you wouldn’t be able to handle it. and you were right to think so, because as soon as he leant his head against yours you felt your heart pick up tenfold.
you didn’t want to think how he must feel it racing against his back.
“you shouldn’t be sorry,” he explained quietly, his thumb coming to trace across your wrist, “you’re here. just like the others.”
the wind picked up and you felt the light dim across your closed eyes as it played with the fire. you tried to commit his voice to memory, gather words and phrases to try and describe what it sounded like, to yourself. just in case the wilds finally did creep back to collect what they once gained and now had lost. there was always that innate fear that gnawed at the very base of your stomach, those ‘what if's' of catastrophe.
“i’ll always be here,” you insisted, clutching onto him just that little bit tighter, “no matter how far we go.”
the cool of the night began to seep further into your campsite, the fire beginning to dwindle at the will of the weather, and Link made no effort to rekindle it.
you could see why you had shifted towards him in your sleep these recent nights; he was so warm to the touch, his strength a blanket of security as he cradled you.
you did so again now, still holding him as if he was your only shelter. in some ways he was. you almost had the thought to wonder why you hadn’t done this sooner, but you knew exactly why.
as tiredness began to seep into your eyes, Link shifted. he tapped your hand to gain your attention, and you quickly unwrapped your arms. however, before you could apologise and make your way back to your cloak, he held onto your fingers.
“stay.”
his expression was forlorn, but hopeful. there was a tension in his jaw as he waited for you to say something. his other hand gripped at his knee.
you didn’t want to leave him hanging but there was a problem with your breath being hitched in your throat. his fingertips were rough against yours, yet still so gentle. they sought your palm, following the lines that were etched into your skin. the lines of fate, as fortune tellers called them. and yours were alight with warmth, now.
you slowly exhaled as he’d done earlier, trying to be subtle. if he noticed he didn’t show it, simply offering a flicker of a smile.
it reminded you of the ones he gave you when he asked for a favour, to be the one to grab the apples off the tree or track down the cuccos yet again.
however, this time his favour was quiet, so much so that he didn’t want to ask for it. his grip on your hand could barely be called that, his fingers were so flighty and ready to pull away at any moment.
but he had asked, despite everything.
silently, you let him guide you back down to earth, into his lap. and there, you curled up in his arms. he leant against your bags as a makeshift pillow, and then pressed you gently into his chest, as close as he could get you. the chill of the wind could no longer reach you, as you were under his protection now. but he was also under yours.
finally, he relaxed, resting his chin on your head. his heartbeat thrummed by your ear, gradually slowing, beat by beat, until it was a soothing rhythm; one of near sleep. the crickets’ chorus began to outsing the crackle of the flames, with darkness having now fully fallen across Hyrule, you spoke up for the final time that night. “goodnight, Link. sleep well." your voice was barely above a whisper, and spoken into his tunic so that you weren’t sure he would hear you. but the hand nestled in your own squeezed your fingers.
a gust of wind blew the remaining flames out, and as shadow engulfed the camp your eyes fell shut, the heartbeat of the hero soothing you to sleep. and with the fire lost, the brightest light upon Hyrule became a fallen star, glowing upon the mountainside above.
Congratulations! 11k is AMAZING! Can I request summer camp au with Peter… or Link? 😊
I fucking love this fic oh my god. Thank you so much for requesting! Much love xox
Summer Camp
"You realize I'm too old to go to summer camp, right?" Link asks his parents with a glare, tossing the piece of paper towards them.
His mother releases a sigh and crosses her arms, looking to her husband for help. "Son, you're not going there as a camper. Are you that stupid?" His father asks him, not putting up with his bullshit.
Link scoffs and he shakes his head. "Rich coming from you," he snaps at him.
"Do you hear yourself right now?" His mother asks him, hearing her voice crack. "You're going to this camp to learn responsibility. Link, baby, this'll be good for you."
"Good for me. Ha, yeah. You're sending me to the middle of nowhere to look after some brats that I don't know," he mentions while furrowing his eyebrows.
His mother and father glance at one another before she walks away. Link rolls his eyes at her behavior and he crosses his arms over his chest.
"Why are you like this? Where did we go wrong with you?" His father asks him. Link doesn't answer him and the father releases a deep sigh. "Be ready by seven am. You'll be gone for two months."
He follows his wife upstairs, leaving the dirty blonde by himself in the living room. Link runs his hands over his face before pushing himself off the couch.
"Stupid fucking summer camp," he mumbles to himself while heading to his bedroom. "Yes, because sending me to a place I don't want to go is going to make me better. Fucking stupid."
Link plops himself on his bed, resting his hands underneath his head while looking up at the ceiling. God, this summer's gonna suck.
You zip up your suitcase and place it by your bedroom door, having it ready for tomorrow morning. This year will be your third year counseling at Crescent Lake Summer Camp and you're pretty excited.
One of the head counselors called you earlier in the day to inform you that a new counselor will be joining this year's team.
You couldn't wait to see everyone again. You also wonder who the new person is going to be. Whether it's a guy or a girl. If they're attractive, nice. You release a deep breath and shake your head.
"No relationships, remember," you mumble to yourself. Your mother yells your name as you exit your room and you quickly make your way downstairs.
Your father sits at the kitchen table as your mother places the various pots and pans in the middle of the surface.
"Smells great, ma," you mention while sitting in your seat.
"Thank you, honey. At least someone appreciates my cooking," she jokes and glances toward her husband. "Are you all packed and ready?"
You nod your head in response as your father tosses the newspaper onto the counter. "Are you excited?" He asks you while scooping some mashed potatoes onto his plate.
"Yeah, I can't wait to see everyone again," you exclaim with a smile, waiting for your parents to get food first. "Kathleen called me earlier and said there's going to be a new counselor."
"That's good. You guys were short-staffed last year, weren't you?" Your mother asks before placing a fork full of potatoes into her mouth.
You plate your dinner and nod your head. "It was horrible last year. Derek and Giana ended up skipping out, leaving us shorthanded," you clarify with an eye roll. "So, I'm hoping this year they'll be there and the new person. We'll be decently staffed this year."
"Well, that's good, honey. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back."
-
You drive under the Crescent Lake Summer Camp sign, seeing the main cabin in the distance. A smile graces your lips as you pull into a parking spot. You turn the vehicle off before getting out of the car.
The heat smacks you in the face and you can't wait to take a dip in the lake. A car pulls in behind you and you glance over your shoulder to see a dirty blonde guy. He must be the new counselor. You think to yourself as you grab your suitcase.
You make your way towards the group of counselors when you notice the blonde hasn't left his car yet. "Y/N!" A familiar voice calls out to you and you whip your head around to see Leia running toward you.
She crashes into you, almost taking you out as chuckles leave both of your lips. "I missed you too, Leia," you laugh while hugging her.
"I'm so glad you're here. Derek and Gina ended up getting together and I feel like a third wheel," she groans while pulling away.
"God, did they really?" You scrunch your nose as the two of you walk towards the others.
Leia links her arm with yours before stopping you from continuing further. "There's also something I need to tell you," she says grimly, causing your eyebrows to furrow. "Jack's back this year."
Your heart drops into your stomach and you swallow thickly. "W-What? They let him come back?" You ask quietly, and Leia nods her head in reply. "Great."
"I'm sorry. Kathleen should've told you," she frowns.
"It was two years ago. I'm over it," you lie to her and yourself, shrugging your shoulders.
Link sits in his car, wishing he could just turn around and leave. The threat his father gave him before he left the house replays in his head. He looks out his driver's side window, seeing you hugging another woman.
Well, the girls are hot. He thinks to himself as his brown eyes roam down your body. He releases a deep sigh before turning his vehicle off. He steps out of the vehicle and grabs his bag from the backseat, sliding the strap onto his shoulder.
He joins the rest of the camp counselors and an older blonde woman smiles at him. "You must be Link, right?" She asks while stepping toward him.
"Yeah," he replies bluntly and shakes her hand a couple of times.
"Nice to meet you, Link. I'm so glad you could join us this year," she says with a grin. "I'm Kathleen, one of the head counselors here at Crescent Lake. Guys, you wanna introduce yourselves?"
Derek gives his usual two-finger wave. "Hey, I'm Derek. It's nice to finally have guy counselors here again," he introduces himself before draping an arm around the girl next to him.
"I'm Gina," the brunette next to Derek introduces herself.
Link's eyes move to the next person. "I'm Jack. Nice to meet you, bro," the black-haired man says and holds his hand out for Link to shake.
"Don't call me bro," Link states while ignoring the handshake, moving his gaze to the girl you were hugging earlier.
You're shocked at how Link spoke to Jack and you have to hold back a laugh. "I'm Leia," your friend introduces herself to the dirty blonde.
His eyes finally land on you and your breath hitches in your throat. Holy shit he's beautiful. You think to yourself before realizing you haven't spoken yet. "S-Sorry, hi, I'm Y/N," you smile softly at him.
A smirk comes to his lips and he lifts his hand to wave. "Hey," he mutters before diverting his gaze back to Kathleen. "So, how does this work exactly?"
"Well, tonight won't be too difficult. It's more of a chill kind of day before the kids come in the morning," Kathleen begins to explain while motioning for you all to follow her.
You cross your arms across your chest and follow the rest of the group. Leia glances back at you and makes sure you're doing okay before looking forward.
Jack slows down to walk beside you and you wish you could disappear. You didn't want anything to do with him after what happened two summers ago.
"You look great," he compliments you before nudging your arm. You take a step away from him, not saying anything. "Oh come on. Talk to me."
You let out a scoff, shaking your head. "Leave me alone, Jack," you mutter and walk away from him.
Link glances down at the feeling of something brushing his arm, seeing you walking beside him. His gaze moves from you to the man walking behind him, noticing the scowl on his features.
"You two have a history?" He asks you quietly, and you lift your head.
You hum at first while rubbing your arms, taking a quick glance over your shoulder. "Uh, yeah," you mumble before clearing your throat. "It's not something I like to talk about."
The dirty blonde raises his hands with a small smile on his lips. "Then I won't ask any more questions," Link tries to cheer you up. A smile comes to your lips as you tear your gaze away from him. "Although, if it makes you feel better. He totally hates the idea of me standing next to you."
"No way," you whisper and look back up at him. Link nods his head, motioning his head towards the brooding man behind you. You discreetly look back at Jack, noticing the angry look in his eyes. "He's ridiculous. He doesn't even deserve to be back here."
"How come they let him back?" Link questions with narrowed eyes, his gaze settling on Kathleen.
You shrug your shoulders. "I don't know. All I know is that I intend to stay far away from him as possible," you mention.

Night falls at Crescent Lake Summer Camp and most of the cabin lights were out, indicating that whoever's staying in there is in bed or already asleep.
You tie the straps of your bikini top, securing it around your neck before grabbing the towel from your suitcase. You quietly make your way out of your small cabin and you slowly close the wooden door behind you.
You pull your phone out of your pocket and turn the flashlight on. You make your way towards the lake and notice a text from your mother. You read the text over and chuckle at the message, deciding to text her back in the morning. That is if you remember.
The full moon shines against the water, and the splashing of the small waves fills your ears. A smile graces your lips and you slip your shoes off before stepping onto the sand.
"Peaceful," you sigh while walking closer to the water.
You're thankful that the water isn't cold as it splashes over both of your feet. You unbutton your shorts before tugging them down your legs. You place the towel far away enough so it doesn't get wet and you toss your shorts onto it.
You walk further into the lake, the water stopping at your waist. Just as you're about to dive in, you hear a twig breaking behind you. You jump and twist your body around, looking for another person or an animal.
"H-Hello?" You call out into the darkness, pressing your forearms against your chest. You swallow thickly as another twig snaps. "Leia?"
You start to grow paranoid as you walk closer to the shore, checking the space in front of you over and over.
"Jack? Link?" You call out a couple of more names, even though you hope it's not Jack.
"Y/N?" Link's voice emerges from the darkness and you let out a breath of relief.
You place a hand over your heart as the dirty blonde steps out from the treeline. You run your fingers through your hair before tucking some hair behind your ear. "Link," you repeat his name as he now stands in front of you. "What are you doing out here?"
"I could ask you the same thing," he laughs while shoving his hands in his pockets. "I couldn't sleep."
You hum and nod your head, having a similar situation. "Yeah, I couldn't either. I normally can't. I get too excited," you giggle. "Plus, I usually go night swimming on the first and last night every summer."
"Is that safe?" Link asks you with a raised brow.
"Most of the time, yes. There aren't any houses in the vicinity. I normally just have to look out for wild animals," you explain while making your way back into the water. "Do you want to join me?"
Link doesn't say anything as he starts to pull his shirt over his head. "Don't gotta ask me twice," he smirks while he unfastens his jeans.
You make it out to the deeper part of the lake, the water stopping at your chest as you watch him walk closer to you. "The water's nice, isn't it?" You ask as Link stands about a foot away from you.
"It is. Much warmer than I expected, actually," he mentions while gliding his hands through the water. "So, you called out Jack's name before mine. Were you expecting him?"
"No, no. I just- I didn't know if he'd continue to try to talk to me," you shrug your shoulders.
Link hums and takes a couple of steps closer to you. "Y/N, I'm not going to lie to you," he starts and you furrow your brows. "I saw Jack making his way out here during my walk."
Your blood runs cold and your breath hitches in your throat. "God, i-if I knew he was going to be here. I wouldn't have come," you sigh and look up at the sky.
Stars litter the night sky and the moon shines brightly. You can feel tears pool in your eyes as memories of two years ago start to resurface.
"Hey," he softly mumbles, feeling bad for you, as he grabs hold of your chin. Your eyes meet his and Link's thumb strokes your cheek. "I'll help you keep him away."
"You will?" You whisper with wide eyes, not expecting him to help you.
He smiles at you and he nods his head. "Of course. You seem really sweet and, even though I don't know what you went through with this guy, you don't deserve it."
Your eyes roam his beautiful face and you have the desire to kiss him. You swallow the lump in your throat as the space between you and him starts to dissipate.
Butterflies swarm your stomach when Link's nose brushes against yours. His hands move to your waist, fingertips digging into your skin as he pulls you closer.
"L-Link," you stutter out and you press your hands against his chest. "I can't…"
You put some space between the two of you and cross your arms over your chest. "Sorry," he mumbles.
You shake your head and release a deep sigh. "It's not you. You're- you're really cute and I would love to kiss you, but I promised myself I wouldn't get a boyfriend here again," you vaguely explain to him.
The dirty blonde connects the dots and his shoulders slump a smidge. "Jack?"
"Yeah. Two summers ago we got close and he ended up asking me out a few weeks before camp ended," you sigh. "And then a couple of nights before we left… he- I overheard him talking with a couple of ex-counselors. Apparently, asking me out was part of a bet."
"Wow, what is he twelve years old?" Link asks while rolling his eyes. "That's fucking childish."
"It is childish, but I truly liked him. So, I made a vow to myself that I wouldn't get a boyfriend here."

Jack helps the kids off of the bus as Link glares at him from the porch of the main cabin. Sure, he can be an asshole to women sometimes but making bets on women is something he's never thought about doing.
"Y/N!" One of the kids yells to you as soon as you step out of the building. Link's gaze moves from Jack to the little girl who's running in his direction.
You release a gasp and crouch. "Hi, honey!" You greet with a big smile as the little brunette crashes into your arms. "How was your school year?"
"It was good! I made a ton of friends," she boasts to you with a significant smile. Cute. Link thinks to himself as his eyes move to you.
You're fixing her pigtails when you feel a pair of eyes on you. You glance to your left to see Link standing at the end of the porch, his arms crossed over his chest.
"Bella, do you wanna meet our new counselor?" You ask her and she nods her head. You stand up and she grabs a hold of your hand. The two of you walk towards the dirty blonde and you notice his eyes widen slightly. "Honey, this is Link."
"That's your name?" She asks and Link nods his head, plastering a fake smile on his lips. "I think that's such a cool name."
You chuckle and rest your hand on top of her head. "It is a cool name, isn't it?" You agree with her.
"Thank you," he chuckles and runs a hand through his hair.
"How about you go join the rest of the kids, okay?" You smile down at her.
Bella nods her head before she runs off, grouping back up with the rest of the summer campers. You release a deep breath and you turn towards Link.
"She's cute," he says. "I'm not really a big fan of kids, but she's cool."
You giggle before tilting your head. "You don't like kids, but you signed up to be a counselor at a kid's summer camp?" You ask him with a confused look.
Link sighs and leans against the railing in front of him. "I didn't sign up. My parents made me come," he tells the truth, his eyes looking out at the large group. "They decided that I needed to learn responsibility and forced me to come here."
A frown comes to your lips at Link's story. "Oh, that's horrible. I'm sorry about that," you apologize to him and rest one of your hands on his arm. "Just- don't take your anger out on these kids. Some of them can be assholes, but the majority of them are sweethearts."
"I won't," he promises you. Silence fills the space between the two of you for a few moments before he speaks up. "There's one thing that's definitely made this whole punishment better."
"Yeah? That's great, Link. What is it?" You ask him with a smile, your fingers gliding down his arm.
"You."
Your lips part in surprise at his answer and your cheeks blush. "O-Oh, me?" You stutter out and smile.
He chuckles and he nods his head. "Yeah, you," Link confirms and brings one of his hands to your face, stroking your cheek.
"You're gonna be the death of me this summer," you chuckle while leaning into his touch.
Okay, so, I totally wrote this in one day. Is it any good? I’m not sure! But, here we go! I hope you guys like it! It could be read as a standalone, but it is a continuation of Teach Some Lessons! Let me know what you guys think xox
"Fuck, Y/N," Link whispers against your bare skin. Moans slip past your lips as he thrusts into you slowly. "You feel so good."
Your arms are wrapped around his neck, your fingers gliding through his blonde locks. You can feel the mattress moving beneath you as his thrusts slowly become faster.
A gasp leaves your lips as he brushes against your g-spot. "L-Link!"
Your nails dig into his shoulder blades as you arch your back. Link drags his lips along your collarbone, heavy pants hitting your skin.
He presses light kisses on your chest and he bites down every few seconds. "You make the prettiest sounds," Link praises you while moving his hands to your waist.
Your cheeks flush at his words and you flutter your eyes shut. One of Link's hands moves between your bodies before the tips of his fingers rub your clit. A surge of pleasure shoots up your spine, causing you to moan loudly.
"I-I'm gonna cum," you pant, tugging his hair slightly. Link groans against your chest before lifting his head to look at you.
"Open your eyes, baby," he mutters while his free hand grabs a hold of your cheeks. "I want you to look at me when you cum."
He thrusts into you rough and fast, the sound of skin slapping echoes off the walls. You open your eyes and look into his honey-brown ones. A smirk comes to his lips before Link leans forward to capture your lips in a quick kiss.
Your heart pounds against your chest and he slips two of his fingers past your lips. "Mmph, f-fuck," you mutter against his fingers, feeling yourself getting closer.
"Cum for me, baby. C'mon," Link grunts, his fingers moving faster against your clit.
Your toes curl as you get pushed over the edge. Ragged breaths leave your lips as you cum on Link's cock. Your eyes roll back into your head while arching your back high. Your legs start to shake as his thrusts become long slow strokes.
"Fuck," he moans, feeling your walls squeezing him. "Such a good girl."
You drag your hands up his arms before grabbing his shoulders. Your breathing turns heavy as you start to come down from your orgasm. Link slips his fingers out of your mouth before stroking your cheekbone.
"You okay?" He mumbles, gaining your attention. You breathe out a laugh and nod your head.
"I'm okay."
Link smiles and kisses your cheek before slowly pulling out of you. A hiss leaves your lips, feeling a bit sore, and the blonde springs up from his bed. You watch him disappear into his bathroom before turning your head to look at the ceiling.
A soft sigh leaves your lips before tucking your lip between your teeth. Link walks back into the bedroom with a washcloth in his hands. You push yourself up to lean on your elbows and watch him gently drag the warm cloth along your slit.
"Who knew you could be a softie," you chuckle nervously.
He smiles down at you and shrugs his shoulders. "Well, it's your first time. I don't want to be a dick about it," Link explains to you.
You frown and wet your lips. "So, if it weren't my first time you would've been?" You dread asking the question and his eyes meet yours.
"No," he mumbles with furrowed brows. His fingertips glide along your thighs before letting out a heavy sigh. "You're different."
Link leaves you speechless as he makes his way back into the bathroom. You slowly make your way to the edge of the bed and reach for your panties that are on the floor.
You quickly slip them on before reaching for his shirt. "Link?" You call out to him and he pokes his head out from inside the bathroom.
"Yeah?"
"Can I wear this?" You ask with flushed cheeks, lifting the shirt he was wearing before everything happened.
He smiles at you and nods his head. "Yeah, go ahead."
You thank him quietly and he disappears into the bathroom again. You throw the shirt over your head before inhaling his cologne.
When he comes back out of the bathroom he walks over to his dresser, pulling out a pair of boxers. "Hey, did you finish?" You ask him softly.
"Nah, but that's okay. It was about you, not me," he reassures you with a smile.
"Oh," you mumble and fiddle with your fingers.
You're snapped out of your thoughts when a door slams shut. Your cheeks blush and you're glad that Frankie's not here. It's been almost three weeks since you and Link hooked up for the first time.
"Y/N?" Speak of the devil. Frankie calls out your name before appearing around the corner. She smiles upon seeing you and quickly plops on the couch beside you. "There you are. Are you okay? You look a bit flushed."
Your eyes widen and you bring your hands to your cheeks. "What? Am I? I-I don't know what you're talking about. I'm fine," you word vomit, giving yourself away.
"Okay," she draws out and smirks at you, "spill the beans."
"There's nothing to spill," you shrug your shoulders, hoping that she'll drop the subject.
Frankie laughs and pulls her phone out from her back pocket. "Hm, alright, if you won't spill I'm sure Link will," she mentions.
You lift your head and your eyes widen. "N-No," you stutter. A sigh leaves your lips and you comb your fingers through your hair. "I might've slept with Link at that party."
She gasps and grips your arm. "Oh my god. No fucking way!! How was it? Was he good? Was he big? Oh lord," she spitfires a load of questions.
"Frankie," you laugh and shake your head.
"What?! I'm your best friend. You're supposed to tell me! It's girl code," she giggles, tucking her hair behind her ear.
You wet your lips and decide to give in. "Okay, he was… really good. I- Jesus. I would say he's bigger than average?" You form your sentence into a question, your brows furrowing. "Uh, I've never seen a dick before him."
"I keep forgetting that you're so innocent," Frankie jokes with you, causing you to glare at her playfully. "So, are you gonna see him again?"
"I hope so. I actually haven't heard from him since the day after," you mumble sadly.
"Wait, really?" She asks, the smile dropping from her lips. "That's weird. I was with him the other day."
Your stomach twists at her statement and you shrug your shoulders again. "It's whatever, I guess. I mean, we're not dating," you play off your feelings.
"That doesn't mean he should ignore you," Frankie reminds you with a scoff. "I can tell him off for you."
"No, no. That's not necessary. I'll do it," you say with newfound courage.
Your best friend pats your back with a proud smile. "Yes, girl! You got this! Go right now. Otherwise, you'll chicken out," she mentions.
You stand up from the couch and shake off the nerves. "I got this. You're right," you mumble to yourself while making your way towards the front door.
"Go get him!" Frankie yells to you as you walk out of your shared apartment.
-
You knock on Link's door before glancing to your left and right. You can feel your hands begin to shake as you wait for him to answer. After waiting for almost a minute, you bring your fist up to knock again when the door suddenly opens.
The blonde beauty stands in front of you and he looks like he just woke up. "Hey," Link greets you with a tired smile. "Come in."
He moves to the side, allowing you into the single story house. Your heart leaps in your chest at the feeling of his fingers brushing your lower back.
"I, uh, I came over because I haven't heard from you since that night," you mumble while turning to face him.
Link scratches the back of his neck after closing the door. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I didn't- I wanted to text you, but I was busy filming and then I wasn't sure you wanted me to," he explains.
You laugh and you slap your hands against your thighs. "Link, of course, I want you to text me. I-I had fun," you stutter over your words. "M-Maybe I could get another lesson?"
"Yeah? You want another lesson?" He asks with a smirk on his lips. "Do you deserve another lesson?"
A shiver runs down your spine and you suppress a moan. You nod your head, pressing your lips into a thin line. Link takes a few steps toward you before bringing his hand to your face.
"Use your words, baby," he mutters loud enough for you to hear.
"Yes," you whisper out.
Link slips his hand into your hair before pulling back on it. You moan out his name, your head tilting back and his lips brushing your jawline.
"You're so good for me," he hums against your skin.
He places sloppy kisses along your jawline before sucking on the skin beneath your ear. Your eyes flutter shut and you release a ragged breath. "Fuck," you mutter and bring your hands to the shirt he's wearing, gripping it tightly.
Link's hands move to the back of your thighs and he lifts you into his arms. You wrap your legs around his waist as he carries you to his room.
One of your hand's grips onto his hair as the other lifts his face. He looks into your eyes for a moment before you press your lips to his. He moans into the kiss while carefully laying you on the bed. His lips don't leave yours once as he kneels on the bed.
Link slides his hands up your outer thighs as he deepens the kiss. You wrap your arm around his neck, pulling his body closer to yours as his tongue slips past your lips.
"Fuck, you're insatiable," he mumbles after pulling back from you.
A giggle slips past your lips and you nudge your nose against his. "Shut up and fuck me," you whisper against his lips.
"Don't have to tell me twice," he mumbles before reconnecting your lips together.
-
Both of you breathe heavily as he lays down beside you. One of your hands rests against his sweaty chest and you glance at him.
"Where'd you learn some of that?" He asks while meeting your eyes. "I didn't teach you to suck me off like that."
Giggles leave your lips and you gently bite your lip. "I looked some stuff up," you tell him truthfully, your cheeks blushing. "I-I wanted you to finish this time."
Link smiles and brings his hand to your face. "You're a godsend," he chuckles while pushing some hair out of your face.
You shrug your shoulders with a cocky smile on your lips. He leans over and kisses your cheek before climbing out of his bed. Familiarity hits you as you watch him grab his boxers. Link slips on his boxers before grabbing his leopard-printed button-up.
He runs his hands through his hair before grabbing a hat from his dresser. "Are you trying to kill me?" You ask him as he puts it on his head.
Link glances back at you and raises an eyebrow. "Am I?" He asks with a laugh.
You nod your head and sit up straight, shifting to sit on the edge of the bed. "Yeah, Link, you are. You look hot like that," you motion to what he's wearing.
He smirks and leans down, grabbing your face in his hands. "You like it when I look like this, hm?" He teases you before quickly kissing your lips.
"Mm, mhm," you hum against his lips, your hand resting on the nape of his neck. When he pulls away from you, your eyes flutter open and you look up at him through your lashes.
"Hey, do you want to go out Friday night?" Link asks you seriously, a hint of a smile coming to his lips.
Your breath hitches in your throat. "You're serious?" You ask him, feeling shocked.
"Yeah. I told you that you're different," he mentions while stroking your cheek. "I've never felt this towards anyone else."
Am I writing a fic for a character I haven't seen the movie for? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I hope you guys enjoy it and let me know what you think! 💗🥰
You cross your arms over your chest as you walk through the crowd of people. You lean on your toes and look for your best friend Frankie. "What the fuck," you whisper to yourself and make your way towards the back door.
A shiver runs down your spine when the cool air hits your skin. You pull your phone out of your pocket and dial Frankie's number. You lean your back against the wall of the house before glancing left and right.
"Come on, seriously?" You ask yourself after the call goes to voice-mail. You crouch down and run a hand through your hair, not wanting to be here without her.
You stand back up and wipe your hands on the skirt you're wearing. "You good?" A deep voice asks you, causing you to jump slightly.
You lift your head to see a guy standing in front of you, a lit cigarette dangling from his slender fingers. "Uh, y-yeah, I'm fine," you give him a tight-lipped smile. "Just looking for someone."
His gaze looks around the area you're standing in before releasing a chuckle. "Are they meeting you here or can I just not see them?" He teases you.
You laugh at his question and shake your head. "She's not here. Even though she told me she'd be here by now," you mumble while looking at the time on your phone.
The blonde hums and takes a drag of the cigarette. You chew on your bottom lip as you watch him blow the smoke past his lips. "So, what? You're going to wait out here until she shows up?" He asks and glances back towards you.
"Thought about it," you mutter and look up towards the sky. The wind picks up and you shiver again.
"You're freezing," he points out and walks closer to you.
He starts to take off his jacket when you shake your head, holding your hand out to him. "No, I-I'll be okay. That's not necessary," your cheeks flush.
His eyes flick up at you and he takes another drag of the cig. "You sure? I don't want your pretty self getting cold," he flirts with you and the redness on your cheeks darkens.
Your phone vibrates in your hand and you glance down to see a text from Frankie. "My friend's here now, so, I'll be heading inside," you inform him with a smile.
"Alright cool," the guy mutters and starts to walk backwards down the sidewalk. "My name's Link, by the way."
"Link," you repeat with a smile, feeling yourself become a little giddy. "My name's Y/N."
He wets his lips before flicking the burnt-out cigarette towards the grass. "Y/N," Link repeats with a chuckle. "I'll see you around."
You wave at him and make your way back inside the crowded house. You stand on your toes, looking for your best friend. "Frankie!" You call out to her, seeing her standing at the drinks table.
She whips her head around, a smile coming to her lips. "Y/N! I'm so glad you're here," she yells as you push your way through the drunken people.
The two of you hug before she pushes a drink into your hand. A chuckle leaves your lips and you take a quick drink. You grimace at the taste of the liquor and squeeze your eyes shut. "Frankie, babe, this is way too strong," you tell her and reach for the coke.
You pour some more soda into your cup before taking another drink. "Where were you?" She asks you while pulling you towards her other friends.
"I-I was outside," you motion towards the back door.
Frankie's eyes widen and she rests her hand on your arm. "Oh my God, Y/N. You can't be alone outside in the middle of the night," she says worryingly and you shake your head.
"It's okay! There was a guy out there with me," you mention with a light blush.
"Oh?! You met a guy!?" Frankie asks with a large grin. "What's his name?"
You tuck a strand behind your ear and take another drink. "Uhm, his name is Link," you tell her, causing the brunette's eyes to widen again.
"Link? You met Link?"
You furrow your brows and nod your head in response to her. "Yeah… do-do you know him?" You ask her, your shoulders deflating.
"Yeah, I'm recording his videos," she mentions, moving her gaze towards her other friends.
"Oh," you trail off and your fingers fiddle with the cup. "I'll be right back."
You walk away from your best friend and head down the crowded hallway, looking for the restroom. You slip into the bathroom and close the door behind you. You place your cup onto the counter before gripping the edge of it.
Of course, Frankie knows him. You think to yourself and drop your head. You let out a deep sigh before looking at yourself in the mirror.
A knock on the door echoes off the walls and you turn your head towards the sound. "Y/N?" Frankie's voice comes through before it opens a bit. "You okay?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm okay," you clear your throat. "I just- You know I don't meet a lot of attractive guys, especially since I'm super shy, so when Link stopped and talked to me I felt-"
"You felt good about yourself," Frankie cuts you off. You scratch the back of your neck and nod your head. "Y/N, I-I'm sorry. If it makes you feel better, I don't want any sort of relationship with him. If you're interested, you should go for it!"
Your fingers fiddle with one another and you glance up at her through your lashes. "You think so?" You whisper.
Frankie grins and she rests her hands on your forearms. "Yeah, absolutely! Y/N, babe, you're gorgeous. There's no way he wouldn't go for you," she giggles while shaking your arms.
"Frank- I- I'm not good at this though," you remind her with an awkward laugh.
"I'll help you!"
You laugh loudly and shake your head. You bite your lip, thinking over the idea before agreeing. "Okay, let's do it."
-
"Okay, Y/N, he's here!" Frankie rushes back towards you. Your eyes widen and you turn around to walk back through the gate. "No, no, c'mon! We practiced this!"
She wraps her hand around your wrist before tugging you back. "Frankie- I can't even speak normally around him. How am I going to flirt with him?" You hiss as she drags you deeper into the party.
"You'll get the hang of it! I promise you," she grins excitingly and pushes you towards Link. His laugh reaches your ears and you can feel your heart fluttering in your chest.
His eyes meet yours and the smile on his lips widens. "Y/N, hey!" Link greets you and excuses himself from the group. He quickly walks up to you and wraps his arms around your shoulders. "I'm so glad you could make it."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world, Link," you chuckle as you rest your hands on his waist.
He moves his hand to the back of your head before petting your hair. "So, Frankie told me you like some guy," he informs you with a smirk.
"W-What? She told you that?!" You ask him and quickly glance over your shoulder. You see Frankie talking to a group of people before her eyes meet yours. She gives you a knowing look before Link's fingers slide down your jawline.
Your breath hitches in your throat as he makes you look at him. "She did. Tell me about him. Is he here?" He asks while dropping his hand from your face.
"Uh, yeah, he is," you whisper loud enough for him to hear as you glance up at him through your lashes. He's standing in front of me… You think to yourself.
"Do you plan on flirting with him? Show me your moves," he urges you and your cheeks blush. You bring a hand to the back of your neck and rub the skin nervously.
Link smiles down at you and motions for you to give it a shot. "Okay, uh," you start and shift your gaze to the ground. "I-If you were a library book, I'd check you out."
A laugh leaves his lips and he shakes his head. "You call that flirting? Well," Link mentions while shoving his hands into his pockets, his body swaying a bit.
"Y-Yeah?" You mumble, rubbing your hands on the skirt you're wearing.
"Oh no, I'll show you flirting. I'll take you to the back room right now," he flirts with you, causing your cheeks to heat up.
"L-Link!" You squeal as his hands find their way to your hips, bringing you closer to him.
Your hands rest on his chest, feeling his nose brushing along your jawline. "I can tell you're inexperienced," he mumbles against your skin. You grip the jacket he's wearing as Link places a couple of sloppy kisses on your pulse point. "I can help you. If you want."
"Please," you beg as your eyes flutter shut. The blonde chuckles at your response and pulls back from you.
"Man, you're quite adorable when you're flustered," he smirks while placing his large hand on your cheek. "C'mere."
His hand grabs a hold of yours before he leads you away from the crowd. Your hands begin to sweat as you glance over your shoulder, meeting your best friend's eyes. Frankie gives you a thumbs-up as the two of you round the corner of the house.
You're pressed against the side of the house, Link's hands resting on either side of your face. "So, have you ever kissed someone before?" He asks in a whisper, his eyes casting down to meet yours.
Heat spreads throughout your body and you shake your head. "N-No," you mutter embarrassingly.
Link hums, moving one of his hands to your face. "I'd be glad to give you some… lessons," he mumbles while gliding his thumb across your lower lip.
Your eyes flutter shut and you feel like your heart is going to explode inside your chest. He watches you curiously, a smirk settling on his lips as your hands rest on his torso.
A gasp escapes your lips when Link slips his thumb past your lips. Your fingers grip the shirt he's wearing and you're not sure what you're supposed to do. "So responsive to me," he mutters while wetting his lips.
He removes his thumb from your mouth before cupping your cheek. The distance between you diminishes as Link connects his lips with yours. Your hands slide up his torso before you wrap them around his neck.
You kiss him back instantly, the tips of your fingers combing through his blonde hair. Link pulls away from you, eliciting a small groan from you. "That's good, baby," he mumbles before reconnecting your lips. "Are you sure you've never kissed someone before?"
A chuckle leaves your lips as Link goes back to dragging his thumb across your lip. "I'm pretty sure," you tell him with pink cheeks.
Link hums and takes a step back from you before looking around. "Do you wanna go back to my place? I can teach you a few more things," he offers while wetting his lips, his honey eyes meeting yours.
