looking for a linked universe fic where the chain meets wild and he's really young, like maybe 9 or 10? he's also selectively mute. and then the story jumps back in time to how he was traumatized by the royal family, i know one specific instance where zelda gets a little cut on her cheek and then link gets whipped for it. and all this time he's maybe 10 years old. i think it's a oneshot but im not confident. does anyone know what I'm talking about 😭😭

If this is A Link to the Past era (as some theorize from the map) then that means the intro is this specific Link's fifth adventure and the third time this Zelda got nabbed. Or fourth if you count both times in aLttP.

Could also just be new incarnations close to the A Link to the X&Y games (or new era entirely), but it's just very funny to imagine that after shit keeps fucking happening to these two incarnations specifically Zelda is just FED UP.

My thoughts on Linked Universe Pt2! The Hero of the Minish

All credits go to the og Creator! These are just my personal thoughs on the heroes and their adventures.

I'm back for more! Thank you for the kind words so far I'm having a lot of fun with this. It's time for the Hero of the Minish, the little guy and the wielder of the Four Sword! LETS GO!!!!!!!!

Ok so I've only played Minish Cap, but I think I some what understand the premase of Four Swords so.... Humor me please 😙. Anyway the Smith's character is really funny to me. So are his games. They are kind of weird in a sense as well. Like a little 10 year old boy who just so happens to be childhood friends with the Princess of your kingdom, is called apone to find a way to defet an evil that no one has ever seen before. THATS HILARIOUS! Not extremely far off from the other games but just different enough for someone to notice.

The Minish are also comical, they aren't to far off from the Korok Kokiri, or the Kikwi, but again just different enough. and I love how only good children can see them, and that it was one of the reasons the Smith went on his adventure in the first place. Not often in Zelda games do we get an actual reason for the hero to be the hero other than the fact he is destin to be one. For the Smith it was different. He had to because adults can't see the Minish. And the Minish were the only reason the Smith got the Four Sword.

The way the Smith is portryed in his game is not really expanded on. Like I said before he's just a kid. A child most people seem to know. His grampa seems to be respected in their area and is well known. Link speaks to many people during his first adventure and a lot of times they tell to be careful. Most don't know what happened to the Princess, those who do are distraught. They don't know what to do. After all they are sending a 10 year old to try and figure out how to reverse the curse on Zelda.

I do wonder what the Smith might have been thinking. I mean I would be shiting bricks if MY KING told me to go on a perilous adventure where I may possibly die just to save his daughter. Zelda was Links friend but he was also 10 years old so..... 🫲😐🫱. I do think he was actually on the verge of a panic attack before he met Ezlo though. Like what was he supposed to do? Run around untill he found a Minish portal? Then what he didn't know the magic words?????? Ezlo saved this child form death I'm telling you.

Smithy was probably very greatful to this random talking hat he found getting beat up by 3 Octotocks, and the fact that he could bring the Smith to the Minish. Ezlo also gave him knowleg of the Jabber nut. A furit that alowed him to speak to the Minish. This ofcouse was a big deal as the Smith really needed to get help from the Little guys.

regarding the dungeons I think they might be a little harder than Skyward Swords. But like I mentiond in my last post about Sky I'm kind of stupid so that might just be me. However I think most of them were really interesting and the shrinking mechanic made it like 5x more fun. As I said before I haven't played Four Swords so I can't really speake on the game play but I think I would really like to play it!

Nice Segway into talking about Four Swords! I Think the premise of this adventure is Link and Zelda finding out that Vatis' back in town and once again it is up to a 12-14 year old boy to stop him again. Then after a little time adventuring and trying to stop the evil he already faced, he finds out the Vati is only a puppet to a greater evil Ganon. Yay! More trama! Thats all I know about Four Swords. If I missed anythig or got somthing wrong please Tell me.

Anywho, the Four Sword is really cool and I really like it. I love how the Smith is 1 of 2 heroes who don't wield the Master Sword. the other one being the Traveler. Though Smithy has the spirit of a hero, the blood of a knight, and wields the Triforce of Courage, he did not get the cool sword almost everyone else did. I've seen some people suggest that the Pacori Blade is the Maser sword, but its turned into the Four Sword. The Master Sword also appears as the Hero of the Skys left it in Ocraina of Time so I don't think this is the case.

The Smith with the Chain is whidely regarded as 'the one with the brain cell' and I love that for him. I think he's about 16-17 during Linked Universe and I think that a literal teenager being the smartest one in the group is really funny (maybe besides the Captain). Smithy is level headed, hes not one to get super angry unless the moment calls for it. Like how he was with the Champion during the ordeal with the Rancher.

The Smith is however, one to exagerat details about his adventures. We see this in how he describes his fight with an oversized Octorock to his brothers, only to get confused when the Sailor and Champion share their own experiences with giant Octos. I think he likes to tell vage story's about his journy and everyone hates him for it. Like "Yeah I had a Chuchu for a boss once." and everyone else is like "???"

The Hero of the Minish is the 2nd Hero in the Timeline. And because of this I feel like he would have an emence amout of pressure on his back after meeting his pretececor. Sky was the first of them, he is the best swordsmen. He faced the first Evil and won. Smithy must think he has a lot to live up to. But Sky is kind, and I mentioned in my first post that he is often the first one to notice a hero in distress. I like to think Sky comforts the Smith and tells him he already is an amazing hero and that he is already so proud of his successor.

Regarding the Colors I think that they are the Smith but the Smith isn't them. Like the Four Sword splits the Smith's personality up into 4 parts, and when he merges again he goes back to normal. he can't hear them in his head or anything. I know that a really popular head cannon, but I can't really get behind it. It just doesn't make sense for that to happen. I do like the theory about Minish magic is the reason he so short though.

Over all I really enjoyed talking about the Smith and his games. I think the style of Minish Cap is soooooo cute! I love talking about the Smith and his games. I didn't mention many relationships he has mostly because I couldn't really think of any outside Zelda, his grampa, and Ezlo.
