Day 8: the linking machine🔗 A tool which is key to my work is the linking machine. We knit each garment’s piece to the exact shape on the actual machine. This means that body, sleeves and collars are knitted without wasting precious plant-based fibres in the sampling and production processes. Once all the parts have been knitted , they are steamed and then passed over to the linking machine. Linking is an art in itself, I remember doing the linking for my final collections at @ntuart and taking days only to link up one garment!
