I don't actually read the Wall Street Journal. People just keep posting interesting links to it. (this one via Pat Kiernan, fab NY1/VH-1 Pop Culture Tournament guy).
There are a lot of now-discontinued foods that I get nostalgic for, but I don't think very many of them are candy bars. Maybe Ohio just didn't have a thriving local candy production? In the article, the only one I can say I really know, is the Goo Goo Cluster. And perusing this list, the only thing popping out and making me think "dude, I loved those" are peach Jolly Ranchers.
If you really want me to wax nostalgic, let's talk about Pudding Pockets (Pudding Pops too, but *everyone* remembers and misses those. I feel like the only person in the world keeping the Pudding Pocket flame alive.) Oh, and Pac-Man cereal.
