i started watching "the greatest teacher" because the premise of someone being murdered and travelling a year back in time for a second chance and to find out who murdered her was so intriguing to me but this show is actually so so healing and so so wholesome and my heart is smiling and my eyes are tearing up and it's so. it's so. i love this show ?????

Well I now have a new year's resolution:

To go skating as often I can, hopefully at least once a week. omg I prepared so much like where I can go buy skates and accessoires, the local ice rinks and opening hours& prices, a playlist.

this is literally erving goffman's sociological concept of the dramaturgy. in social interactions, sometimes we are the ones on the front stage, performing for others so that they will perceive us the way we want them to. and sometimes we are the ones backstage, where we are more freely able to be ourselves without having to fear judgment from the public. yet our front stage selves and our backstage selves are all our true selves. that's what yeonjun is trying to show in let me tell you. artists are usually viewed as taking on a persona for the public, not really being their true selves for the sake of being a more appealing version of themselves. but yeonjun says that, at least for him, artist yeonjun is just as yeonjun as the person yeonjun. and he conveys that so well in let me tell you

i really love the ending lyrics of song of the stars so much. it translates roughly to "i hope it lasts forever, the song of the stars, our names, the reason we're together." and the whole song is basically about singing the song of the stars. but what is the song of the stars? it's "lyrics filled with only our names." because to sing the song of the stars simply means to call each other's names. and to call for each other means to be there for each other, to check in on one another, to make sure no one feels alone. and that is the reason why we're together, the reason why we have each other, because as social beings it is essential for us to know that we are not alone. so we have to call each other's names, to remind each other i care for you and you matter to me. and the first line is basically saying we've found the song of the stars again right? we've realized what it is? we know the lyrics we have to sing? may it continue on for eternity that we keep singing them, that we keep calling each other's names, that we keep being there for one another, because that's the whole point of why we were not put into this world alone

i'm watching this video and simon sinek is talking about how friendhship is sort of the bio hack to a lot of mental health challenges that people face. he goes on to talk about addiction, citing social media addiction as an example, and how research has shown that as social beings, companionship and community staggeringly decrease the risk of addiction. but in my experience, in my life, it's near impossible to maintain friendships without using my phone. because around 80% of the contact i have with my friends now is through messaging apps. but when i use my phone, i have the option to either scroll on social media or send a friend a text message. and i admit that in my experience i find myself choosing to scroll on social media instead of starting up a chat way too much. i guess one factor could be how scrolling on social media gives me instant gratification that starting a whole new conversation through my phone doesn't. another factor could be how talking with someone through text messages isn't really the same as talking with them in real life or doing other activities together. and i just find that so depressing. we're all plagued by loneliness and in a world where it should be much easier to contact and connect with others, friendship has become such a difficult thing instead

"where do you go?" is just txt saying hey i know it's hard not to compare our lives with others and we'll feel lost and behind but you know what you don't have to care what others think about your life, it's your one and only life, so spend it the way you want to, what's important is that you stay true to yourself and to your dreams, you don't have to follow where others say you should go, you just go wherever your heart is taking you ok?

if txt's discography had an overarching truth or a thesis statement, i would say it's "showing others that their seemingly solitary pain is actually shared and experienced by others can give them the strength to endure and the hope to move forward to tomorrow."

it might be coincidental but its so cute that you can spell txt as +×+ and the fandom name means to gather and they're called tomorrow x together like yes we only add and multiply here we only grow more and together !
