Posting something different today because while book cards are definitely the project I’ve stuck with the longest, I sometimes do other things!

I made this linoblock print for a local Valentine’s Day themed show that’s happening tomorrow night, with the hopefully non-foreshadowy title of “Love You to Death.” (I kind of have to be there, but I will be wearing an N95 and fleeing any crowd that starts to form. I’d been hoping to have a face shield by now but it’s not in the cards, unfortunately.)

Fun fact: all of these map pieces are also originally from my old library job. We got a few donations of out-of-date maps and, on one joyous occasion, an atlas from 1972 (a page of which is featured in the second picture!) The market for extremely outdated maps tends to be a very small one, so when the person running our book sale was about to relegate them to recycling, I talked her out of it, cut up some of the pieces for displays, and then... took the leftovers remaining in my locker home in June 2020 when it became clear that there was not going to be a call for new displays anytime soon.
