what does love mean to you uquiz tagged by @januarystars!!
Something you want to share
you have so much love and you just want to share it with everybody, don't you? there's nothing more you'd hate than to keep your fondness and tenderness for other people and love as a whole inside. please never hide your love for others, be reckless and loud with your "i love you"s and make plans when it feels like no one else is bold enough to. we're all scared that our love won't be matched or reciprocated, we fear rejection and we have this idea that the people we love don't actually love us but only tolerate us for the sake of having someone to keep them company. but it's people like you, people who want to share their love with the world, that change that. so make plans, don't leave anything unsaid, send that song that made you think of them. life is too short to keep your love inside.
Lio admin here with an update. I first want to thank everyone that’s been here during our first year of writing for A.C.E. When we first started writing for A.C.E there wasn’t many published works, now our own masterlist has over 100 works and there’s even some new writers out there. With that knowledge I get to the reason for this update. In recent months the notes on our ace content has dropped. While we love everyone who interacts with our stories, when you only get 3 or 4 notes on a piece of writing, the discouragement can start to weigh on you. So on that note I’m announcing my departure from publishing A.C.E works here on tumblr.
I have one final Jun story for a collab I committed to earlier this year and I will complete it and it will be my final A.C.E work here.
On a good note, Ju admin will still be here, writing for A.C.E and fulfilling everyone’s requests. And I also will be here to reblog and interact with our friends. I still will publish stories on our main account so I won’t be inactive from writing.
Thank you all so much for reading my stories and for letting me enjoy your company. Please continue to support Ju with her A.C.E work and show them lots of love.
A/N: This was a request we had by our lovely supportive anon 🍀🌺 :) Enjoy! ~ Lio & Ju
"Hoshi, no. You know I can't dance." I protest as he drags me to an empty practice room away from the rest of the boys.
Hoshi and I had been dating for two years now, our relationship something I cherished. I had been in many relationships over the years, but none were as meaningful to me as my relationship with Hoshi. In all honesty, I didn't deserve him. But everyday he bent over backward for me and showed me more love and care than I knew what to do with. And I tried my best to give him the same amount of love and gratitude, if not more.
"You're a fast learner though, sweetie." He smirks, his dark eyes twinkling with laughter and a hint of teasing.
"That doesn't mean much." I retort, putting my hands on my hips.
Hoshi just chuckles and takes my wrists in his hands, his thumb gently tracing them as he steps closer to me. He places a sweet kiss on my forehead, making me smile despite myself. He pulled away slowly, meeting my eyes once more.
"We'll take the moves nice and slow and I'll teach you something easy." He promises, his voice soft. "Just try it?"
I let out a defeated sigh, knowing I couldn't say no to him. Especially when he gave me the pouting eyes he was right now.
"Okay, okay." I sigh, accepting his lessons. "But don't laugh at me when you see how uncoordinated I am."
Hoshi throws his head back and laughs, a sound that was just as pretty to me as his voice was whenever he sang. Whether that be on stage with his members, or softly to me late at night when I couldn't fall asleep.
He kisses my lips quickly before pulling his phone out and finding the right song he was looking for. It pulses through his phones speakers at a steady beat.
"Lets listen to the song once so you know it and then I'll start teaching you the basic moves, okay?" He says, his eyes shining with excitement.
I nod my head, "Okay."
I take in a deep breath as I listen to the beginning beats of the song, a pattern that was familiar and easy making my nerves calm a bit.
Hoshi's smile was wide as he watches my face, his eyes dancing in mischief.
"What is that face for, Soonyoung?" I smile at him just before the familiar words of a famous kid song blasts through the speakers.
"Hoshi! Why 'Baby Shark'?!" I groan, my hands pushing against my face as I feel my foot tapping to the beat.
"It's a fun dance and it's really easy! Plus, if you danced it for little kids they'd adore you!"
I laugh at his reasons, watching him begin to move to the song, his steps cute and light and manageable for me.
"Hoshi." I lower my voice to sound threatening, however it only comes out with amusement as I watch the man in front of me do his best cute face to match his movements.
"Please, Sweetie, no one else will dance this with me." He sticks out his bottom lip, his pleading already beginning.
I roll my eyes with a smile, nodding to him as the song finishes and goes on repeat, the deceiving intro sounding through the room again.
"Okay, follow my lead."
He moves his hands in a cute way , his movements easy to follow even as he introduces his feet into the choreography. I laugh as I follow the movements, mine matching Hoshi's more than I expected them to. It only took a couple runs through the song for me to catch on, an excitement running through me at learning my first choreography. Hoshi goes to stop the music, turning towards me with a big smile on his face.
"Do you think you're ready for a Seventeen choreography now?" He teases, stepping closer to me to wrap his arms around my waist.
"I think I need a bit more practice with 'Baby Shark'." I tease back, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I don't know you are my best student, I think you could tackle it."
We smile at each other for a few seconds before leaning in to kiss each other, our mouths molding together in a sweet kiss that was short.
"Do you think the rest of the guys would be impressed?" I ask him, my lips brushing against his with each word.
Found this on my dash and thought it was a fun quiz.
@star-lemonade @junquisite @undercoverclover @januarystars If you guys want to 😊
The deepest green in a seemingly infinite forest
At the end of your story, everything may not be perfect or even the way the readers may want it to be, but everything will be okay. The ending is what your characters need, not necessarily what they want. You know how to write strong plots that are able to perfectly balance the right mixture of pain and lightheartedness. Writing tropes is one of your favorite things to do and yet somehow your take on it is always something so unique and original it’ll make your readers jaws drop.
Omg I'm so mad at myself for not finding your blog sooner. I freaking love A.C.E!!!! And it's so hard to find people on any writing platform that write for them. I literally almost cried when I looked at your A.C.E Masterlist because I have never come across someone with as much A.C.E content as you. You are a literal blessing. I-
I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW GRATEFUL I AM FOR YOU. 🥰
THANK YOU FOR WRITING A.C.E CONTENT, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY: THANK YOU FOR WRITING SPICY A.C.E CONTENT.
May both sides of your pillow always be cool, and may you meet your bias someday.
P.S. Your work is seriously underrated. I can't believe you don't get more notes.
Oh my gosh hello!!! When we first got into A.C.E we were so sad to not find many writers, so we decided to flood Tumblr with them ourselves. You're words are so sweet oh my god 🥺🥺🥺🥺 Thank you so much for being excited about our content. Lio admin always feels like we have too much so thank you for saying that.
WE LOVE SPICY CONTENT. A.C.E deserves spicy content (of course they deserve all genres but...) Spicy content is needed for this group. There's a lot of masterlist to go through but stay tuned for more spicy A.C.E coming soon!!
Thank you so much for this, we've been feeling discouraged about the lack of interest of A.C.E content so thank you so much for encouraging us and making our month with this ask.
(The pillow and bias comment made us smile so big we can't even tell you.)
P.S. thank you for saying that 🥺. You are an angel and have cheered us up so much 💜💙- Lio and Ju admin
Hello everyone! :D Awhile back LiJu decided to do a “Get to know LiJu post” today we’re doing a writing tips 101 post. We would like to make this a series for the future with more writing tips and get to know us interview questions. But until then, we hope you enjoy this 5 question writing 101 interview! 💚💜 -Lio & Ju
* Where do you get inspiration to write?
Lio- I get inspiration from a lot of things. Songs, movies, dreams, pictures, I even get inspiration from my own personal experiences. Any of these things bring me inspiration. The place I often get most of my story ideas is when I drive. I listen to music as I drive and different songs evoke different emotions, so I get story ideas based on how the music makes me feel.
~~~~~
Ju- From many places- But mostly from music or books I’ve read. Even other fanfic writers I’ve got idea’s from and based my own work off of their original idea. Lio and I often bounce off each other with things. I also get ideas when I’m driving. It sets a certain headspace for me and I start thinking of stories while going somewhere.
*For writers just starting out, what’s a good place to start their writing journey?
Lio-I think the most important place to start is with your outlook. Writing is like any skill, you have to work to cultivate it. Even if someone is born with the talent of writing, they still cultivate it to make it better. When you first start writing, a lot of your stories may not be the best and that’s okay. Old works will always make you cringe, but they were the start of your journey and they show how much you’ve grown into the writer you become in the future. So start with the outlook that your writing may not be so great at the beginning, that just means you have a lot of growing to go. After that, just dive in the deep end, you will learn to swim and it may be a small doggy paddle but it will get better.
~~~~~~
Ju-Start small. I can’t stress that enough. Start small. I know you’re excited and want to share things and grow you’re skill. And I know you are going to do fantastic and have fans of your works someday. But you don’t need to write a big fanfic that’s 3,000 plus words with every member of the group involved. Take just one member and do a small one shot with them. Maybe 300 or 400 words, and go from there. Get your feet under you first. Don’t go flying off a cliff yet.
*Tips for improving writing?
Lio- I think one way to improve writing is by reading. When you read you find role models that write the way you want to write. By studying their sentences and breaking down their writing you gain a knowledge as to why you like their writing style and then find a way to incorporate it into your writing. Do you like their writing cause they use big words? Study up on some complicated words. Do you like their writing for their metaphors? Spend a day with your parents or grandparents, they use them a lot XD. Just study writing you like already, dissecting it, then implementing it into your own writing.
~~~~~~~
Ju- Listen, and watch. You know those moments when you want to know how to do something so you type it up on YouTube or google it? Do that but with writing. Listen to music that tells a story and drives you. Read a book and pay attention to how the writer convey’s feelings and emotions. Don’t just look at the plot. Pay attention to other fanfic writers and how they use words and describe the world. Even listening to an audio book is so helpful.
* How do you handle writers block?
Lio-Sometimes writers block can only be healed with time. You may be burned out on writing and need a couple days or weeks to recoup, that’s okay. If I just don’t have any ideas for a story I try to work on something new. When I have writers block it’s because I want to avoid the WIP’s I have piled up. I try to write a quick drabble or short one shot to get the creative juices flowing again. After a couple quick works I feel more motivated to tackle a chapter in a chapter fic or defeat a paragraph in a long one shot.
~~~~~
Ju-It’s okay to take a break. Sometimes when you’re stuck you just need a few weeks off. But talking with someone helps. I bounce things off Lio all the time, and her with me. It’s okay to be stumped and to have other priorities. Just take a step back and let it roll around in your head awhile. It comes back quickly. Looking at photos helps too. Sometimes I look at photos on Pinterest when there’s a certain spot in a fanfic I need inspiration on. The photos trigger ideas a lot of times.
~~~~~~
* What are common mistakes you see other writers make?
Lio- It depends on what fandom/genre of writing I’m looking at. A lot of times punctuation and spelling are the biggest things that make reading certain stories difficult. I’m not great in grammar and struggle with punctuation so it doesn’t have to be perfect, but writing something easy to read starts with punctuation and spelling.
~~~~
Ju- I am saying this… in the humblest of places I can. Because lord only knows how much growing I have to do as a writer. But explanation points do not convey emotions. They just don’t. Try to use your words. Limit the explanation points for when it’s really, really needed.
Thank you for your support and for read this far. 🥺 -Lio & Ju
Summary: You've always been best friends with Jun. He's the best kind of friend their is. But sometimes being friends isn't enough.
We had always been friends. As kids we spent almost everyday with each other because our mothers were best friends. Then, as we grew up, we drifted away from the people we used to spend every waking hour with that we possibly could.
For me and Jun, however, it was very different. Yes, we had grown up together. But we still loved being with each other despite our changing personalities and characteristics.
As time passed, our relationship grew stronger, tighter, impossible to break. We made it through most of our high school year as best friends. I would date a few guys here and there, and Jun was the talk of the school with how handsome he was. Which always made me roll my eyes and laugh.
Then, our last year of high school, things started to change between Jun and I. A subtle shift that I just felt deep in my gut. I felt like he was drifting apart from me.
Our talks became fewer, sometimes nonexistent. But I always noticed one thing about him whenever we saw each other; he always gave me a look. It was one I had never seen cross his eyes before. One mixed with sadness, and something I couldn’t identify.
I desperately tried to grab at what it was his eyes were saying but I never could reach it. My mind lost as to what his soft looks my way meant. Until I could figure it out, I always waited for a change. A shift in the winds.
~~~~
“What do you want to do?” I ask in boredom. My head hanging over the edge of the sofa as I stared up at the ceiling.
It was a weekend and I had convinced Jun to come over to keep me company since both my parents were away on a business trip. He sat at the end of the sofa scrolling through his phone, looking about as bored as I felt.
“Do you want to watch something?” He suggested, glancing up at me over his phone.
I sigh deeply. “We’ve watched everything, Junhee.” I answer regretfully.
Jun remains silent for a moment. His silence stretches out for so long that I raise my head up to look at him to make sure he was even still there.
A hot blush encases my body, however, when I see him staring at me. His lip between his teeth as he did so. He caught my eyes and immediately looked away. His ears and cheeks going pink.
Jun clears his throat, “Let’s just rewatch something.”
He quickly gets up from the couch to take the remote from the TV stand, leaving me feeling puzzled as I stared at his back. His shoulders looking tense. I really didn’t understand what had gotten into him.
He comes back to sit on the sofa with me while he scrolls through our movie options. His gaze never falling back to me once. His ears and cheeks still a fervent shade of red.
"Jun, are you okay?" I ask him scooting closer to him. I place my hand over his forehead to feel his skin hot. "You're burning up, are you not feeling well."
Jun shrieks as he pushes my hand away from his head, standing quickly as he covers his mouth. "No... No I.. I'm fine, it's just a bit hot in here..."
I tilt my head in confusion, worry starting to grow for him. My worry is replaced with curiosity, though, when I see his eyes shift to that same look he had been holding all senior year.
"What are you thinking?" I ask him quietly, staring into his dark eyes as I blink up at him.
His eyes close as he takes a heavy intake of breathe, his chest puffed out due the breathe he held in. I raise from the couch, walking up to him to grab his hand that covered his mouth. I pull it from his face, making his eyes widen as he stares at me, his lip back between his teeth.
I giggle as I watch his eyes dart between mine. "Junhee, breathe."
He lets out a shaky breath as his eyes move back to my lips. I tense as his stare doesn't falter, his eyes trained on my lips while my hand encases his wrist. I felt my own breath caught in my throat as I held it.
I started to think about Jun in a different light. I had never thought about him in that way before and it made my heart beat fast. I suddenly felt my body heat rise, my nerves sky rocketing as time seemed to slow. I look to Jun's mouth, his lip still tight between his teeth. The silence was comfortable, but I felt a strong need to break it.
"Jun." Was the only thing I could think to say and it was the only thing I could say before his mouth was on mine.
His lips touched mine gently as he just pressed his lips to mine. He didn't move them, he didn't even breathe as his eyes closed slowly. I felt mine close shortly after, the touch of his soft lips feeling right and comforting. After a few seconds, Jun let out a breath through his nose, it fanning across my face and making me open my mouth to incase his, deepening the kiss.
His free hand slowly rose to my back, pushing it against him as he followed along with my mouth. His head tilted in different ways to kiss me at different angles. I released his wrist and brought my arms around his neck to pull him closer to me. His other hand met my back to keep me next to him.
The kiss lasted until we lost air, both pulling apart and panting heavily. Jun's eyes held a deep love in them, the look that I could finally understand.
No words were said as we stayed in each other's embrace. The movie forgotten, we continued to focus on each other that night, talking and kissing and overall exploring this new side of our relationship.
Summary: Game night with all of ACE is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Until Donghun decides otherwise.
It was game night with the boys, all of us bringing our choice of drinks and food to Jun’s house for the mini party we were having. It wasn’t over anything special, just a for fun get together.
We sit Jun’s kitchen table playing cards, all of us laughing and talking as the game went on. Some of us getting more competitive than others.
I sit next to my boyfriend, Donghun, as we continue to play the game. Occasionally he would lean his shoulder against mine or take my hand in his briefly, mostly just wanting skin contact and for me to feel him there.
As the night drew on, however, the drinks in me started to kick in. Making me feel more relaxed and more flirty than usual. While the other members continue playing the card game, I watch them. My eyes feelings droopy.
My mood changes, however, when I feel Donghun’s hand on my thigh. He had rested his hand there multiple times during the night, but it felt different this time. His hand more rough as it went up my leg, causing me to straighten in my chair.
I give him a sideways glance, my face immediately heating up when I see the darkened look to his eyes. Not even bothering to hide the smirk that played on his lips. I take a deep intake of breath and try to focus on my set of cards. Hoping it would bring my body temperature down.
But it only sky rockets when Donghun leans towards me in his chair and whispers between the space between neck and ear, “I can’t wait to put bruises all over your pretty skin.”
I suck in a deep breath and cover my mouth with my hand, trying to keep any noise from escaping my lips. My face and neck heating up at his words, the room feeling like it was closing in on me.
I meet eyes with Byeongkwan who glares between Donghun and I. I clear my throat and drop my hand to my lap, accidentally brushing Donghun's hand that had made its way up to to my upper thigh. I feel a shiver run through my body and I know Donghun felt it when he squeezes my thigh tighter and rubs his thumb gently across my inner thigh.
I choke on a moan as I cover it up with a cough. I glare at Donghun when he says his next words.
"Princess, are you feeling okay? You look flushed."
Donghun's free hand comes to my cheek where he lays it across it. "You're burning up." He feigns a frown as he stands, his hand falling from my thigh.
"I should get her home guys, she needs some rest." Donghun states as he helps me stand on my shaky legs that were already weak just from his little movements.
"Mmmhhhmmm, I'm sure." Byeongkwan smirks at Donghun who winks back at him.
The drive home was agonizing as Donghun kept his hand on my thigh, rubbing it gently and pulling at the skin to make me release squeaks.
"You sound amazing princess." Donghun would whisper as he would fan his fingers across my thigh squeezing it roughly.
Once home, Donghun pulled me inside, gently pushing me against the wall next to our door as he presses his lips against mine. It started slow and sensual as he grabbed for my thighs, making the kiss a bit messy in the process.
He hoists me up and wraps my thighs around his waist, his stomach pushing me further into the wall, his chest meeting mine. He bites my lip gently, pulling the lip with his teeth before it snaps back into place.
"I made you a promise didn't I, Sweetheart?" He whispers in my ear, his lips brushing against it making me whine.
"I need to leave bruises on your skin. Places people can see and ones that only I'll get to see."
I whimper as I scratch at his back, making him choke out a moan. "Donghun please."
"Is my princess needy?" He asks as his fingers slide under my shirt, tracing my rib cage gently, making me arch off the wall and my stomach hitting his chest.
"Stop teasing." I pant as I force his head to my neck where he immediately starts kissing, leaving a trail of bites, sucks, and kisses along my throat and collarbone.
"You skin looks even prettier with my teeth marks on it." He mumbles against my skin as he presses his thumbs into my thighs.
I lean into his ear as I let my breath fall on his skin, making goosebumps rise on it. "I think your skin needs some pretty marks too." I finish the sentence with a bite behind his ear, making him breathe out shakily.
"Let's go somewhere a little more comfortable, princess." He growls out as he carries me around his waist to our shared bedroom where we both receive our fair share of love marks.
