Ironically enough, it began with the hair.
He always had really beautiful hair. That's how he got his title: Steve "the Hair" Harrington. As days pass, it becomes more luxuriant and beautiful than ever, but also wilder and denser, growing to a really significant amount. After that, his gums and nails begin to bleed, teeth become sharper, and nails become more like claws when angry before going back to normal, as if nothing happened. Then his senses become sharper. Everything becomes too much: too much noise, too much smell, too much light. His vocal cords would act weirdly in some situations, making a deep growling sound when angry. He would humm when happy to see the others or when proud of his kids. He would make a deep and strange purring-like noise when Robin would play with his hair, when Eddie was near, or when trying to comfort his cubs kids.
It all came to a conclusion on the night of his 20th birthday. He spent his day working in pain, smiling through his teeth, just wishing to go home and sleep it off.
He transformed, in the middle of a room full of his loved ones, all invited by Robin to his surprise party.
