I’m pretty sure if your boss is telling you to put the kibosh on any Bash and Mary talk, that’s what you do.  The words are Laurie McCarthy’s, being sort of mangled by AK’s shoddy delivery.  Can I tell you how much of a gift Torrance Coombs is, though?  It’s like they’re all wooden puppets except him, he’s trying to smooth over the bumps with an actual human response. 

I think it's fair to say AK has lacked tact in a lot of her interviews. It's possible to get across the message that Mary and Bash are over without alienating and/or insulting your fans. But as I said elsewhere, I was more bothered by her rudeness to TC.  I guess that's their issue though.

Agreed, and as I live overseas my viewing doesn't count anyway. But at least I get to see the context in which those gifsets are made and have a laugh doing so. Sadly no-one else is willing to watch with me :( What IS good is that it looks like reactions to recent spoilers are being monitored and may exert some influence (fingers crossed). So I continue to watch with my tongue firmly in my cheek and to dream of a perfect Reign...

She touched his hands, summoning her deepest sincerity. "I fear for you, Bash. I know you'd never admit to me how bad it is, but you don't have to tell me. I can see it. And I can't sit by and watch you suffer. What would you do for me, if our situations were reversed?"

"You entrap me, Mary." His green eyes were full of sad fondness. "You know what I would do."

"Then let me do for you what you'd certainly do for me."

"But it isn't you who's hurt, Mary. And I'm glad it isn't. Because it means I can still say no."

She shook her head, putting her hand on his cheek. "But you won't," she said, echoing what she'd said to him by the lake shore so many weeks ago, the prequel to their first reckless kiss. She kissed him now, convincingly.

"I can deny you nothing, your grace," he murmured, his forehead to hers.

She put her forehead to his and said fiercely, "Don't you ever go back to French court. Not for me, not for anybody. I could not stand to lose you, Bash. I've made my sacrifice. I've given up one man I loved. I couldn't bear it to lose another."
