Thanks @emmaducklingsaviour for the tag! This was really fun but soo hard I could’ve easily picked 2 or 3 ships for each question 😂

1. Your first ship: Sonny and Chad (Sonny with a Chance) ugh my first Disney ship, the couple I shipped before I knew what shipping was. I remember being 10 years old and getting so excited when I was watching and they got together. Simpler times

2. Your first OTP: Sabrina and Harvey (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) I adored these two they were my childhood and I’m so happy they were endgame even though the last season was messy. I love this show and I love these two, definition of soulmates.

3. Your current favourite ship: Bellarke (the 100) when I get sad over Bellarke, I re-read the books because they have so many adorable moments in the books like their first kiss by the lake and Bellamy always teasing her. I love them so much and I could easily rant about how much I hate the writers but if you know you know. But at least they’re engaged in the books and Beliza are married🥺🥺

4. You shipped from the first minute: Ruby and Mulan (ouat) these two had so much chemistry and would’ve been so much more iconic than Ruby and Dorothy, and Mulan was definitely in love with Ruby when she first saw her.

5. You wish they had been endgame: Jess and Rory (Gilmore Girls) I’m still so upset over these two I love the early seasons of GG and they were perfect together. I don’t like to think about the year in the life I just focus on when they were in love 🥺

6. You wish they had been canon: Okay this was hard because I literally have so many. But I’m gonna go with Henry and Ivy (ouat) because they would’ve been so powerful together and I’ve ranted before on my page about how they should’ve been together and why it would’ve made so much sense but them being together would’ve made s7 so much better.

7. A ship you like but most of the fandom hates: Bash and Mary (Reign) I’m like the 1% of the fandom that preferred Mary and Bash like her and Francis were cute but I adored her and Bash they were adorable and Bash never got over his love for Mary even when he was with Kenna.

8. You don’t even watch the show but you ship them anyways: Chris and Eva (Skam) I could never really get into Skam but I always see these two in multicouples vids and I’ve watched a few moments online and I really like them even though I don’t really know what happens between them

9. You wish they had a different storyline; Tobias/Four and Tris (Divergent) okay Divergent is my comfort series and while I hate the movies for depriving us of amazing scenes and messing up the plot, I still love these two. I’ll forever be mad over the ending to Alleigant my babies deserved so much better 😭

10. Fave ship that was endgame: Captain Swan (OUAT) it was so hard not to put these two in another category but I love these two so much my entire blog is pretty much devoted to them. They really got their happy ending and I could rant for hours about them but I’m so happy they got their happily ever after 🥺

AWAE 25 Days of Christmas Day 14: “What Child Is This”

“What child is this, who lay to rest,” Bash sang softly, pressing a kiss to both Mary and Dellie’s hair as he sat beside them. “On Mary’s lap is sleeping...”

“Shh, you’ll wake her,’ Mary hushed him, giggling. “She just closed her eyes.” 

“Aren’t you a precious little angel,” Bash cooed at his daughter, tracing her tiny nose lightly. Dellie shifted slightly, grabbing her father’s finger as he tucked the blanket under her tighter, but the little girl didn’t wake. 

“She got me, Mary,” Bash said solemnly, pretending to try and pull his finger away. 

“She has you wrapped around her finger alright,” Mary shook her head, smiling fondly. She leaned against Bash’s shoulder, resting in the fire-lit room. When she closed her eyes, she could smell the pine from their christmas tree and the snow falling outside. She took a deep breath, breathing it all in. The smell of snow had always tickled her nose, even as a little girl. 

“Gilbert went to bed already?” Mary asked, her eyes still closed. 

“Yes indeed, claims to be exhausted from our Sunday supper with the Cuthberts,” Bash said. 

“Hmmm, more like tired of you teasin’ him,” Mary chuckled. “The poor boy needs a break.” 

“Well it’s his loss,” Bash shrugged, wrapping his arm around Mary and drawing her close. “Now I have you both all to myself. My two best girls.” 

They sat there a while, holding their sleeping daughter under the Christmas tree, as the fire slowly pulled back into the embers. Bash was humming a christmas hymn quietly. Mary wasn’t sure he was even aware he was doing so. 

“I never had a Christmas like this before,” Mary confessed. “Got a whole tree and decorations and everything. Back in the bog, we used to gather wreaths up from scrap material and branches, and tie them all together with whatever we found for decorations. Then on Boxing Day we would throw them on a huge bonfire, to send up our wishes for the new year.” 

“In Trinidad, there was always a Masquerade Ball up at the main house,” Bash said. “All the rich folk had them. Meant Ma always had to work on Christmas, so we had our own special dinner on Boxing Day, when we could. There was always a special sweet for me afterwards, dusted in sugar. When I was younger, there used to be parties among the non-white folk as well; everyone had colorful beads and there would be drummers. But the British outlawed all that after the riots for freedom.” 

“Bash,” Mary said quietly, her heart breaking for that hint of sorrow Bash always carried with him. Bash was a man who carried Trinidad’s pride on his heart, but he carried her sorrows too. It amazed Mary everyday how a man with such weight on him still had Bash’s optimism and light. 

“We’ll have to carry on those traditions,” Mary said. “The beads and the wreaths, for Dellie, when she’s older. So she knows where she came from.” 

“That, my angel, is a lovely idea,” Bash kissed the side of Mary’s head. “Would you like that, Dellie? Hmm?” He tickled her chin. Dellie wrinkled her nose, but her eyes stayed shut. 

“I’ll put her to bed,” Bash offered, reaching for the baby, but Mary shook her head. 

“We can wait a moment,” she suggested. “I just want a moment, to bask in this.” 

It wasn’t the perfect Christmas. It couldn’t be, not when her son was so far away. But it was far better than Mary had ever dared dream for herself. A Christmas wish come true she hadn’t known she was making.

Okay so this is a theory I kind of already read on Pinterest idk... but I just love it so much, i wanna talk it out again.

Mary, Bash and Francis are literally Elena, Damon and Stephan. Yes I get the whole meant for each other, true love kind of story between Mary/Francis and Elena/Stefan, but I think both of the girls are/would’ve been happier with Bash and Damon. Francis and Stefan were the “safe love” (as said in the Pinterest post), kind of fairytale type of love, but Bash and Damon were the ones, that brought out different sides of Mary/Elena (they both said that), challenge them and bring adventure and excitement.

And in my opinion that’s why there are so many different opinions about them because people want different types of love for their lives.

Personally I am more of a Mary/Bash and Elena/Damon type of guy, I really really wanted Mary and Bash to end up together after Francis died.

(Maybe I just ship them because I have a thing for bad boys with light eyes but no we’re not gonna talk about that :) )
