Hi! I love the way you blend anime gifs like ace of the diamond! would you please consider a tutorial on how to blend anime gifs like you did for the third gif.
Yeah I'll totally show you! This works best on scenes that have similar lighting or very little white space, but you can do it on anything. I'm using gifs with two very different lighting for the example.
So assuming you've got your gifs pretty much ready - should be the same length, cropped if necessary, sharpened - you're going to duplicate one gif into the other so they're stacked on top of each other. Set the Layer Style of the top gif to "Screen" and it'll look like this:
From here you'll adjust where you want the gifs to be in relation to one another. With the one you referenced in the set, I changed the size until it fit into a smaller spot because I didn't want it obstructing Sawamura's face, I want it to be like something that he's thinking about it so it's sort of behind him.
You'll turn on a layer mask on both gifs, the rectangle with a hole in the middle symbol. With the layer mask selected, switch to your brush tool. Make sure the brush hardness is at 0 and change the brush opacity to 45%. I usually make my brush really big as well, like 175-200px. And then you're going to color over the areas of the gif you want gone.
As you can see here, I'm coloring on the Sawamura gif to reveal the Koushu gif.
Once I get everything set how I want, then I'll add the coloring layers. I'll do a Solid Color Fill layer and clip it to the layer i want changed. For this I set the opacity at 50% and the layer style is Color. I also added a Selective Color layer to reduce the yellows.
But definitely play around with it and figure out what you like and what you're going for!
Hopefully this made sense, please let me know if you have any other questions! I also have some other tutorials that you can find here: My Tutorials
