Rimmel Show Off Lip Laquer
Now I know most people bought these when they first came out but my review took a while to get up. This was because I didn't know how I felt about them. First off let's start off with the good.
These are crazy pigmented. Crazy. Fully opaque when applied to the lips without going back for more product. They also set and last almost all day for me.
Now the reason I didn't know how I felt about them was because of first the smell. It kinda smells like plastic but it does go away after a while. Second was that if they are kept on their side they leak this oily stuff. Not cool. I had to clean my lip gloss drawer. And third they wear off weird so you have to remove it before reapplying. Which isn't that bad, just annoying.
So like I said, these are crazy pigmented. When I bought these I made sure I only got ones without shimmer. Most of the colors seem to be very bright. I might go back and find the rest of the non shimmer colors.
Apocaliptic:This one is the most bright and bold of the colors I own. It is a deep hot pink. Very bright.
Stellar: This one is a very bright pinky coral. Not usually a color I go for but it is very pretty and defiantly bright.
Aurora; This one is a deeper red but is still very bright and vivid.
Nova: This one is a standard pink. I love these kinds of shades because they tend to look good on everyone.
Celestial: This one is a more neutral wearable pink. This is my favorite of the bunch.
Luna: A very orangy peach. I thought it was going to be more of a pinky peach when I saw it in the tube.
They way I wear these mostly is I sheer them out. That way they don't wear off weird and don't look so bold all the time.
The applicator of these is a doe foot but it has a little indent to hold some product so you don't need to keep going back in to get more. This will make the product last longer and not spoil as quickly because you don't use too much and not as much air gets in.
Overall I llke these but they where over hyped. I do like them more now than when I got them since they did leak everywhere then.
Now I would give them a 4/5. It would be a 5 if it wasn't for the smell and leaking.
