Time for new Rare Beauty lipstick releases!

Hi guys,

I adore Rare Beauty as a brand, I think for a celebrity brand it is reasonably priced and has beautiful natural looking products for any type of makeup look. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Selena branched out to skin & hair care at some point because let's be honest we'd all grab something. However today we are chatting about the new brand Kind Words lipstick and liner collection!

Selena has brought out a whole new collection of lipsticks with a long lasting, matte finish formula. Each lipstick is £19.00 and for every lipstick shade is a lip liner to match. Now I know what you're thinking what's so special about these lipsticks? They come in 8 beautiful everyday nude shades which have a beautiful colour range suitable for everyone to find their perfect shade.

For a matte lipstick I was really surprised how hydrating the formula feels on the lips and genuinely has brilliant lasting power. I decided to pick up the 2 pink tone shades from the collection because they are shades I would get the most wear out of. The first shade I chose is called Worthy and is a stunning muted mauve shade, this shade is so wearable and goes with so many makeup looks. I also picked up the shade Humble which is a rose mauve shade, unlike the first shade this one is a little brighter.

I am honestly so happy with the 2 shades I picked up and will definetley be picking up more shades in the future. I think next time I'll explore the light nude tones for a subtle shade lipstick. This was the first lipstick pattern I felt truly happy with! I’ve included the alternate flat & ‘unused’ versions, as I feel they could easily be patterns on their own.

The last image is my original sketch. I was just concerned with placement when I made it, but when I looked back on it I realized it has a cool punky/zine art vibe. Maybe next time...
