hiya my loves! i am SO EXCITED to get going! I don’t really have the drive to write out my intros right now, but let me give you a brief summary, so you know who you’re dealing with!
leo collins (bill hader). he’s an actor. started off in theatre, but recently made the transition into film. he’s from brooklyn, went to julliard, mostly kept to himself. he publicly dated a bunch of models, which is funny, because he’s not conventionally attractive, but he’s a genuinely cool dude. he thinks he’s crazy for signing up for this thing, but after his girlfriend came out and said he was cheating on her (a lie, they were openly poly), his manager thought his reputation could use some rehabilitation.
nadine kadivar (sarah shahi). nadine is a Very Professional Lady(tm). nadine grew up in detroit, michigan, where father was a senator, her mother was a lawyer, and they wanted the same for nadine. she didn’t go along with it for a very long time. when she came out as gay, it was a little bit of an issue, both culturally, but also because they thought she wouldn’t amount to anything. she became a lawyer to work for the aclu as a result, paid her own way through, and then finally because a criminal defense attorney. she still does a ton of pro bono hours, working in civil rights litigation when she can. but her work has left her very, very lonely.
rosemary kingsley (taylor hill). this bitch. THIS BITCH. her mother wasn’t very rich, but she did the same thing. when rosemary was a baby, they were poor. lived in new orleans in the 9th ward, but rosemary’s mom promised her that they’d move up in the world. rosemary met a Very Rich Man(tm) and rosemary’s life was better. so rosemary wanted the same. she taught herself etiquette, poise, and put herself into the perfect position. and she did get married (at 19 years old). her husband was always absent, though, and she began to expect he was having an affair. would’ve been fine with her, but he told her that he was in love and requested a divorce. now, rosemary has no educational skills to speak of, so she’s just looking for love, and someone to full that hole her hubs left.
billie hale (bridget satterlee). cutest lil girl. she’s from las vegas, nevada, and her parents made most of their money hustling and gambling. she learned. before she was old enough to go into casinos (she STILL isn’t, at 19 years old), she knew how to shake people down, manipulate, get what she wanted. little grifter. she finally stole from the wrong guy, who pressed charges, and she spent a few months in the juvenile detention center, awaiting a hearing. one would have thought that, now sixteen with a criminal record, she would have learned, but she didn’t. she just got better at it. this opportunity is a chance for her get what she wants: exposure, someone hot, someone whose money she can manipulate out of their little hands.
