Yay! I get to talk about it!!!!

So the background idea I had for their relationship is that she and Wanda did know each other and were friends, but I'm not sure why or how they met, just that they were really good friends. I liked the idea that Wanda might have expressed her feelings for the reader which had not been as reciprocated (whether it be that her feelings were too platonic or that she jsut hadn't gotten to that point yet or something along those lines) and Wanda was so desperate and heartbroken and in love with the reader that she bewitched the reader to fall in love with her.

It's not the same mind control that is used in WandaVision where everyone is ruled by pain and nightmares. She's not necessarily controlling her mind, she's magnifying and manipulating the reader's feelings for her so much that the love is trumps memory and perception to where her thoughts of feelings of something being off is "like a strange dream". Her feelings have been so magnified that all she knows and remembers of her life before their relationship became (was manipulated into becoming) intimate is "She was your wife, and that was the realest thing you knew…"

And I have it implied in the fic that the magic wears off or is beginning to wear off and had to be regularly set back into place, hence why she wakes so disoriented and why Wanda is surprised by it. The spell is failing and needs more constant attention.

But who's to say that without the spell, her feelings before haven't changed? Who's to even say that the spell hasn't been in place so long that there's no way to reverse the implanted idea that Wanda is the love of the reader's life? Who knows? She could be torn from the trance hating Wanda or released from it with a different kind of love for her...

I guess we'll never know.

i am still amazed by how my stupid brain seems unable to produce any actual hpl/zexal crossover considering the sheer amount of potential cthulhu ref in this series (pls ask me to talk about it pls ask me to talk about it). like okay don thousand is nyarlathotep that one’s obvious. all the barians made pacts with him through various time curwen style. maybe they don’t come from all those different time, just a few centuries ago? Anyway yeah they’re just interdimmensional immortal occult demons now. and Vector plays as keziah lol. actually vector as a lovecraftian char works so well he’s just a whole reincarnated manipulative demonic bitch and there are lots of those around.

Also the arclights??? like? okay you have Mihael being the token dumbass archeologist, except he’s actually good at that. Kazuma makes for a good dumbass archeologist but he’d be too good. and do i want to do a story abotu kazuma? Meanwhile Mihael would have so much fun like so excited to learn that socialist starfish aliens created humans and shit like this. Chris i wanna say he does math magic but know he’s that one guy who WONT believe that occultims or aliens are a thing doesn’t MATTER that his father is clearly possessed. i guess he’s just studying space but will try to justify that everything is actually not alien/occult, while kaito sincerely thinks there are such things and want to prove it. Byron is just perfect like he studies math interdimensional travels with the help of faker, studies ancient alien civilization, and ends up possessed yithian-style. Not sure what Thomas could do since he’s not a scientist and not talented enough to take pickman’s role. He doesn’t feel like he’d do occultism either. i guess he is the one to take care fo byron during his posession? and also maybe does drugs that sends him to dreamland/whatever else but no one believes him? would work especially with ryouga. idk.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I started this blog!

And I have 437 beautiful followers! And I can’t thank you guys enough for the incredible support I had over this past year.

Hey btw, I'm really sorry for falling behind on name requests, as well as my @askravenwood series, I've been stuck in a bunch of feelings lately and a bunch of stuff and Idk but I do plan on continuing both of these so hold on tight darlings ❤

One of these days I should actually write up, like, “a fannish guide to C-PTSD and BPD” for people who aren’t mental health professionals, so that people understand what I mean when I say a character sets off my trauma radar. 

I’m writing that kind of thing for work--trying to explain these disorders to people who have them, since I can write from the perspective of having them, and so much psychological literature is essentially written by therapists as a way of teaching other therapists how to treat people, not about how to live as one of those people. But it’s hard--hard to constantly dig up my perspective and re-root it in a different position, when I’m so used to being clinically detached; hard to concisely explain things that took years of experience to learn. 

I struggle also with my position in fandom?  I don’t like being in a position of authority over knowledge, telling people what to think and what’s correct or incorrect. Especially in the mental health field, I go out of my way to de-emphasize my systemic power and build up peoples’ knowledge over their own lives. So I don’t want to say, you know, “That neurodivergent headcanon is incorrect!” or anything like that, ever.  

On the other hand, I do kind of want to explain the frankly excessive amount of thought that goes into some of my own headcanons, because when people go, “You can’t just slap these labels on characters! You’re not an expert!” I’m like... I can slap these labels on people, not just fictional characters. I can legally diagnose people. I kind of am an expert. So I’m not coming at this from the same place as someone who’s read the Abnormal chapter of their Psychology 101 textbook. XD

And somehow, telling people, “Just read three or four of these books” has a low success rate.
