This was simultaneously one of the weirdest and one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I’ve always loved Apocalyptica, but this song, with this video... wow. 

Lisa Mann, massive kudos for this masterpiece of a video. Wow.

Today's Walking Photo: This photo was taken yesterday, because for most of today I was confined to a band van making the return drive from Boise, Idaho back here to Portland. See, on Sunday I got up stupid early to travel with Lisa Mann and her band to the Boise Blues Festival, which was actually held in the city of Eagle, in lovely Reid Merrill Park. Despite feeling a bit bleary-eyed after our 7-hour drive (we hit the stage maybe an hour after arriving in town), we apparently did a pretty good job and our set was well-received. We then got to relax and enjoy the day’s closing set by Curtis Salgado, whose singing and harp playing always makes everything better. But at one point I took a little walk around the park and encountered this scene, which seemed to cry out for a walking photo and so here you go.
