Last month, I performed a portion of a new and ongoing work with two of the most brilliant and delightful women in the world. Geology, Oil and Jazz by Camille Norment in collaboration with me and Sarah Prosser had its first public performance with Release, at Stavanger’s Tou Scene. This artwork is part of @stavangerkunstmuseum’s latest exhibition Experiences in Oil, which also included work by artist Kiyoshi Yamamoto @mypinkpopcorn. I’ve been living. I’m living. I’ve been making a visual album with beautiful humans, amazing musicians, talented friends, generous hearts. We’ve been making memories and documents. Ways. And archives. And my cousin became an ancestor! Ase. Bobby Jones. And my Papa has already greeted him in heaven! My Papa would have been 99 years old today on #Earth.
