“I certainly did not faint, Lishae. I simply felt like reclining. Quickly.”
"Come on Marqos, fight me."
🍎🍎🍎 - one for each.
(Here’s Kajek and Portia. I’m going to do Marqos’ on a separate post. :D)
Kajek blinked a few times. “Sin? Bloody hell. We were having a fine time and then you have to drag everything down with that brick of a topic?” A faint scowl knitted his brow, somewhat remedied by taking a long drink of his ale. “Every day I live with the thought of what I did to my family when I defected, and I feel bad about it… but I don’t. I suppose that makes no sense, but there you have it. And now you can buy me another beer.”
Portia tilted her head back and laughed, the rich and mid-pitched musical lilt of it drawing a couple curious glances from other patrons.
“Sin is one of my absolute favorite topics, and I am proud to say that I am making admirable progress in my goal of trying them all at least once before I am thirty. Most recently I acquired a pair of lovely boots made from the skin of an endangered species.” She flashed a decadent grin and leaned forward, dropping her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “Aurin. One of those dark blue ones.” She leaned back and draped an arm over the back of the booth to observe whether her questioning stranger had taken the bait, but a moment later she could not hold back her laughter. She waved a hand and shook her head.
“Gods no. I would not wear such a cheap material. If we are going with the classic sins I will admit that I did once steal a pair of expensive boots for no reason other than the thrill of it. They were not even fashion boots, but ones that I coveted for field work because of their sturdy yet appealing construction.” She gave a coy toss of her shoulder and smiled again. “Any more questions?”
% and ✉ for whomever you please.
A.Sigma [1340]: Citizen Mikos, it occurs to me that you have been absent in the circles previously frequented or merely have escaped my notice. That I have heard no announcement of your demise is pleasant, and no mention of defection even better.
A.Sigma [1341]: You remain within my connections but go silent. We may only give hope that all has been well.

I can see the whole you think you cover. Home is a place we make but not necessarily where we were brought. Can you find your peace well enough to find that place of peace, r will you forever dance behind a mask made of lies?

As some of you might have noticed, Furbbmace is missing an eye and has a cybernetic replacement. It lost the eye during a lab accident and made (and installed) the cybernetic itself.
There may be some slight brain damage, either from the accident or it’s shoddy grafting of the eye. Really, who knows for sure. I sure don’t and I play the little bugger.
"Fair is fair, Marqos. For every one question you shall receive one in turn. What is something you did not believe in five years ago that you do now?"
Marqos narrowed his eyes and stared at her for a little longer than really necessary as he weighed the answer that came immediately to mind.
“Five years ago I did not believe in you, Jewel.” A smile bloomed on his face, one that hid much behind its sly veneer, but he did not feel the need to elaborate further.
3, 19, and 30 for Marqos. Some incoming for the siblings, too.
3: Does your OC behave differently around different people, if so with whom and how?
Yes. Public social interaction is something similar to a performance and the highborn song and dance has been drilled into him. He’s often torn between his innate stubborn desire to do exactly what he wishes to do and the dictates of polite society. In more formal situations he will default to good behavior as it reflects on his entire family. He’s a lot more relaxed (he can be very silly) around his family, and is becoming moreso with Lishae.
19: What boosts your OC’s confidence the most?
Looking in the mirror? XD I’m mostly kidding. Mostly. His ego has taken a definite hit with the torture/botched mission but it’s still a force to be reckoned with. Success is a drug to him, whatever the arena of life happens to be.
30: What makes your OC defensive quickest?
Someone whose opinion matters to him critiquing or trying to control his behavior in some way. Someone criticizing the Dominion and/or the traditions or structure of Cassian society, especially if it happens to be a lowborn or worst of all, an Exile.
12 for Portia and 24 for Kajek.
12: What is one of the most primary things your OC feels that is missing from their life?
“A primary thing…” Portia looked slightly perplexed for a long moment. Her eyes narrowed and she reflected on her basic needs, but found them all accounted for and fulfilled rather nicely more or less. “There is nothing missing in my life.” A beat passed and she smirked. “Though I am accepting applications for the position of personal assistant and boy toy.”
OOC: Portia really needs more friends who are not related to her. She has a lot of acquaintances through her military service, but no close friends.
24: How would your OC react if they got humiliated by someone in a group of people?
“You are obviously an only child if you need to ask,” Kajek deadpanned. “It’s safe to say that I would get angry and quickly plot my revenge.” He drew in a long, slow breath and blew it out. “Unless of course it was my own fault that I was humiliated. Which may’ve happened on occasion... when alcohol was involved. Or a dare. Or who knows, possibly just because. Moving on.”
OOC: Kajek is pretty sensitive and is prone to starting fights if he feels like he’s been intentionally affronted.
