I’ve been waiting for Velvet Decade to come so that I could pair it with The Worst Kind of Want by @liskab. This lipstick is made in Italy, inspired by old, sepia toned pictures, and is the quintessential shade for anyone who grew up watching The Craft. I can imagine Cilla leaving an imprint of this on her cappuccino cup, her Negroni glass, Donato’s mouth. The name fits so well, it’s impossible to imagine this book with anything else. For the years stretched between Cilla and Donato. For the way we see women as they age. For the way things crumble, like old cloth. Bonus?
