okay just. straight up? i don't think they put barely any thought into how they were going to end the show. i think they had the vague idea of "they defeat chuck somehow" and "one brother dies and then they reunite in heaven" and that was, like, it, and i genuinely wonder at what point they lost the train of thought, bc early to mid s15 seemed to be comparably strong, as far as plot A and plot B were going.
there were obviously some glaring issues - like, ressurecting eileen but not kevin? even though they were both in the same situation? and even further clarifying that it's a one time thing? bullshit, but that and other moments are details. even if they may be shitty, they don't have much bearing on the main plotline, which is what 15x19 and 15x20 were supposed to be about.
