I just accidentally sent the beginning of an e-mail I was composing to a doctoral student to whom I was asking about a clinical psychology volunteer/internship position.

Since I hadn't yet figured out what prefix I should use I had called him "Nearly-Doctor", planning to change it later.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say unless he has a wonderful sense of humor, I just destroyed my chances.
