I've noticed something...I very frequently include scenes in my stories which basically boil down to "one or more parties mistakenly assume a heartbreaking interpretation of events, only to be delighted when it turns out that only is this not true, things have gone even better than expected".
I'm not gonna stop doing it, I just think it's kind of interesting that that shows up so often.
Hey there, just wanted to let you know that I saw you going through and liking all my Little Flame chapters and it made me so happy :) Felt motivated enough to write several more paragraphs of the next chapter because of that 👍

Song Review: Carsie Blanton - “Little Flame”
Looking across antebellum America to South Africa and Palestine while name-checking Bobby Seale, Bobby Sands and Joe Hill, Carsie Blanton urges listeners to keep the little flame alive.
Blanton’s recorded a studio version of “Little Flame,” a song that’s been bouncing around since before she sailed on the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza and was detained by Israel. Backed by Ye Vagabonds and her “prison buddy” Rana Hamida, Blanton makes a DIY anthem work as fully produced number.
A cotton field, a silver mine/Johannesburg to Palestine/broken treaties, dreams deprived/we kept the little flame alive, Blanton sings.
It a much needed beacon of hope in a time that often feels dark and hopeless. And Blanton offers it with a touch of her trademark humor of revolutionary optimism.
“The little flame belongs to all of us, and you can use this song in any way forever, unless you’re a fascist,” she said in a statement.

Little Flame - Chapter 12: Imogen
Fandom: Critical Role
Rating: Teen & Up
Relationships: Fearne & Orym & Dorian, Ashton & FCG, Ashton & Laudna, Laudna/Imogen, Fearne/Chetney, Chetney & Imogen, Ashton/Fearne
Imogen’s finger hovers over the send button on her phone. She’s already typed out the text, just a simple, Hey, would you like to hang out today? She typed and retyped that message half a dozen times, waffling between formal and informal, agonizing over emojis and capitalization and punctuation. This isn’t the first time she’s texted Laudna—they’ve been connecting about riding lessons for the past month, and Laudna invited her to that party the other week—but this is the first time that Imogen has even considered asking Laudna to spend time with her. Alone. Without the horses or any of Laudna’s colourful friends.

(Chapter twelve, in which Imogen pays Laudna a visit.)
Little Flame, one of Cousin's children, sister of Jagged-Tooth and co. A skilled huntress, beloved by her clan, fiery, disciplined, and blunt. She and Jagged-Tooth *hate each other*. This is in large part because Jagged-Tooth was actually a huge asshole to his youngest brothers growing up for no reason, apart from the rest of their family baggage about him ‘abandoning’ the family to go study at the temple.
the only reason Jagged can get away w/ yelling at her in any capacity is because of biotics tbh.
Bringing some life back to our poor little flame
