A sneaky turtles’ adventure
It sucks, and is a bit embarrassing, when you pull a muscle doing something you shouldn't have been doing... your character has pulled something. What did they pull and how did they pull it?!
The four tiny turtle brothers slipped into Splinter's chamber. They used carton boxes as camouflage, shuffling past a sleeping Splinter while stumbling into things, trying to navigate with the carton boxes covering almost their whole body's. Leo's baby blue eyes peeked through the conveniently placed hole, scanning for the door that led to the area where Splinter left the stuff the four brothers weren't supposed to touch.
Leo was shoved forward almost causing Leo to trip.
"I can't see a thing with this stupid thing on my head! This was a stupid idea! Splinter isn't going to fall for this, dimwit!"
"Nuh-uh! Not true! He will fall for this, this plan is foolproof!"
"Guys...! Please be quiet, Splinter could wake up at any moment. Let's get to the chest before he wakes up."
The three kept squabbling while Leo kept moving forward towards the door, not noticing that he left his brothers behind.
He removed the box when he stood in front of the door, pushing the door open with his small three-fingered hands. He waddled inside, oblivious of the deep voice speaking. Leo slipped inside, closing the door on accident.
His eyes widened in awe. The door was not a closet door like they had thought before. No. It was a door to a big chamber, tatami mats laid on the floor, keeping his feet from getting cold, Leo looked around in wonder, the slide doors were painted in a variety of beautiful colours. At the end of the chamber was a small tree planted.
Leo wandered towards the sliding doors with wide eyes, pushing the doors open, gasping when he saw the chest they were looking for.
He quickly opened the chest with effort, winching when the top hit the ground with a thud. He climbed in the chest, grabbing the thing that was the closest, pulling it out of the chest.
It was...it was...What was it again? Leo heard Donnie and Splinter mentioning it on occasions, why couldn't he remember it?
Whatever, it didn't matter.
It looked like a stick with a bigger movable stick.
Leo moved the bigger stick away revealing a shiny blade.
His eyes sparkled as his smile became bigger he grabbed the handle of the shiny thing and started to swing it around smiling and giggling.
It almost slipped out of his grasp, he tightened his grip just in time before swinging it around again.
It felt so right in his three-fingered hands as if it was specially made for him and only him.
Leo felt like nothing could stop him.
Till he swung his arm too wildly and suddenly that it dropped out of his hands as he was struck with searing and unbearable pain from his shoulder.
He cried out, tears sprung in his blue eyes as he held his shoulder as he fell on his butt. A hurried sound of footsteps immediately got closer, the door was opened with a loud slam. Leo saw Splinter look around the room with panic and worry written in his brown eyes when Splinter's eyes landed on Leo did his tense posture slacking a bit, he rushed over scooping Leo in his arms. Hugging him close as he whispered soothing words to Leo, rocking Leo softly in his arms. Leo whimpered and sobbed into Splinter's neck, holding the cloth of Splinter's kimono in his fists.
"Shh...It's alright my son, I'm here, shh...Everything is good."
Splinter kept whispering soothing words till Leo calmed down a bit, Splinter had wandered back to his room where the three others were without Leo noticing it.
Splinter placed Leo on his leg when he sat down.
“My son, what were you doing there? You know you're not supposed to go there. And why are there boxes scattered all over my room?"
Splinter spoke with a soft but stern voice, Leo hiccuped as he answered.
"I-we...We wanted to know what was in the chest y-you hid from u-us...W-we made a plan to go f-find out,"
The three brothers moved to sit around Splinter and Leo while looking down in guilt.
"It was M-Mikey's idea to use boxes to b-blend in..."
Splinter chuckled softly at that,
"I-I found a shiny stick thingy in the chest and wanted to play with it, till suddenly BOOM I was hurt."
Leo hiccuped, rubbing his eyes.
Splinter sighed.
"You shouldn't play with that, you're still too young my son."
Leo nodded, Raph butted in with a shout, "what about us!? We can play with it right?"
Splinter shook his head, "when your older my sons when you're older."
Donnie climbed in the bed
sitting at the edge. "A Shiny thing? You mean a sword? Were you swinging with a sword!!? Those things are dangerously sharp Leo!! It could've been worse! If I had known I would've done things completely different with all this, I tell you this..."
Donnie kept rambling on and on and on.
Leo perked up, 'that was it! It was a sword! I knew it was a sword!'
