Stepping out of the carriage, Kevin looked around, taking a moment to evaluate his surroundings before turning and assisting Miss Emily. It was a nice day, a good opportunity to get out for sure, which was probably why she had begged him to take her into town today. After getting permission from her father, the two had set out to enjoy the afternoon together, and everything already looked promising. You could never be sure that everything would be completely fine, considering all the rising tensions between the families recently, and taking Miss Emily out at this particular time made him a little nervous, but it should be fine.
Taking the girl's hands and assisting her out of the carriage, he smiled, letting her go as he crouched down to her level. "Where were you wanting to go today, Milady?"
The answer was, of course, fairly obvious, as they pretty much went to the same shops every time they went to town, but it was polite to ask anyway. Perhaps she would surprise him today, no?
