ooc: seeking outside help is not giving up. it’s a sign that you want to get better. they’re professionals and they’ve studied for years to help people. if you feel like you need it, you should go.
Thanks! My sister said the same thing, if I need it then I should do it.

((Hey love, I had an eating disorder for a certain period of my life so I understand. What kind of psychologist are you wanting to go to? Clinical? One who may or may not prescribe meds. Or just a therapist? Someone who you can just talk to))
It's just a counselor (actually, I think it's an Ombudsman...if that makes sense?) and if they think I really need it they can refer me to an actual therapist/psychologist. I have a lot of OCD and anxiety problems too but I really don't want to take medicine nor do I have money for extensive therapy.
It just makes me nervous to go behind my mom's back. We're really close but she doesn't want me seeing a professional because it's a crap shoot and it's expensive.
