he's standing outside the current elementary school that he was enrolled in just a few months back; a fall breeze nipping at his cheeks. it's the second one he's been enrolled in since school started up in september. he waits for his big brother to come from the middle school that's just a few blocks away, so they can walk home.

school got out three hours ago. the sun is nearly set.

sam starts to worry.

is dean okay? he's usually on time. smiling brightly with a, "heya, sammy!" as sam skips down the steps, his backpack slug over his back.

john's been gone since they got here, so sam has been relying on his big brother for pretty much everything.

does he know? that sam is unclean? dean couldn't know, could he? sam's kept it to himself pretty well.

right?

he wouldn't just leave sam on his own; they're brothers.

bb sam trying to make pie for Dean for the first time. but it ends up disastrous, the pie wont come out of the plate and there is flour and sticky apple mess everywhere. Dean comes home and hugs him immediately because Sam looks like he's about to cry. And then he sees the mangled mess of pie and Sam tries to stop him to hide his pathetic attempt at making something nice for Dean because Dean deserves only the best but Dean's already stuffing his mouth saying "best damn pie I've ever had Sammy."
