Live life to the Plus, Not Minus
People love to talk all about entire food groups they have chosen to cut OUT of their diet. You ever notice that? They love to say “Ever since cutting Dairy/Wheat/Meat, etc out of my diet, I feel sooo much better!” Vegans love to talk about their Veganity (I made up that word but it works) and these poor, clueless Gluten-Free people can’t shut up about their brand new, out-of-nowhere gluten allergy. What I actually DON’T hear very often is what people are ADDING to their diet. Just once or twice, I would love to hear someone saying “As soon as I started adding a handful of nuts every day, my headaches started going away.” “Salmon and broccoli has made ALL the difference for me in my inflammation.” I would love to hear about the new additions because getting nutrition your body needs after lacking always creates the best success stories and the most believable results. Too often people buy into the negative and alarmist new diet fads based on deprivation. I seriously want to shake people collectively and yell “Its not about what you take out, its about what you put IN!!” If you would all just cut the crap instead of cutting out food groups, ADD fruits and vegetables daily, you would feel amazing relief. And for those people who just don’t get what I’m saying and insist on labeling yourself as Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free and enjoy making a big deal about your food choices to others - shut up. Please. You trick yourself into feeling better with your mind. I know because I’ve seen it. I’ve actually witnessed you tell me all about your gluten allergy and what happens if you even breathe around gluten and what your rash looks like and your whole big production you love to put on AS in that very moment you are eating salad that contains gluten giving you NO physical reaction whatsoever. You didn’t even know it was in there. Because you don’t know what gluten even is or where it comes from. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. I don’t want to come off mean but you are the people who don’t just mind their own business with their choice. You are constantly talking about it like you are trying to convince other people to make the same choice “for their health” and you have no idea what you are talking about or the harm you are causing if that person actually listened to you. Reducing processed foods or refined sugar is one thing. YOu don’t deprive your body of nutrients by cutting down on those items. You DO set your body up for failure and further auto-immune challenges when you eat based on deprivation and restrictions. Feed your body nutrients, you start feeling better. Its all about putting more colors, more life in your diet. Green things. Cleansing things. Real, God-made things. Fruits. Vegetables. Herbs. Beans, Grains. Food. Real food!
