THIS WEEKEND: After the huge success of our #RumFest last year and in celebration of the beautiful Caribbean, we shall have a great range of popular specialty rums on our new garden bar in the Woodman’s splendid #Magners Cider garden. Also a great variety of rum-based cocktails and samples will be available to try including the Fruit Salad (Old J Cherry and Old Jamaican Pineapple Soda) or a more classic Cuba Libre (Old J Spiced and Cola). There will also be fabulous food available for those who love spice, with a Caribbean-style BBQ on offer. Top choices include juicy Jerk chicken, marinated pork, as well as tasty burgers and skewers, all sourced from local suppliers Along with great food and drink, guests can also look forward to some fabulous entertainment with an acoustic festival weekend of music with the #WoodFest live session on the Friday with Gary Grainger, Citizen Star & Kev Pattison and then finishing the weekend on Sunday with the superb, Charlea B. Saturday night, we have our regular karaoke night with landlord and host, Mr Q PLUS another heat of our Q'd Up Karaoke Competition, also sponsored by Magners. Theme weekends are very popular at the Woodies, and none more than our Pirates & Princesses, that goes along with the rum just nicely, so there will be some prizes especially for the best-dressed pirates and princesses on the day (presented during the evening)!
