After the run, Hartley had nowhere else to go but home. Which was, arguably, not the best thing for his sanity, but even those changes couldn’t fully change him. He was still the Pied Piper, even if he could only barely claim Hartley Rathaway at the moment.

The Pied Piper was not one who could fade idly into the background, even if was mostly from the shadows, he still had to act. He still had to try and fix things, but when even that went wrong. With another speedster dead, no matter how opposite this one was from Bart, he had to face what he’d done, even if it meant jail again.
