Aaron placed his hand over Mason’s. He curled his fingers around the other man’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. ❝Politics aside, we’ve all been through too much together. He quickly took his hand away, curling his arm back under Gracie. She was entirely secure in one prosthetic arm, plenty big enough to rest against him on her own, but too snuggly to do so. She was fast asleep, face smooshed against his chest. He stood, taking Gracie with him and settling her on an arm chair, tucking her in with a nearby blanket. Despite Gracie being done with their visit, Aaron was feeling reluctant to let it end. ❝She can fall asleep anywhere.❞ He said fondly, placing a kiss on the top of her head. ❝She can stay asleep too. it hadn’t been his ides to extend the invite . in eric’s mind , things were just fine the way they were . NEW ADDITIONS to the group didn’t mean things had to change , especially when the changes in question were being made solely ( conveniently ! ) to his own perfectly comfortable two-man operation . to add a new personality to the mix felt like a disaster waiting to happen , or , at the very least , a slight annoyance which he wasn’t looking forward to .
