Teddy liked winter, with its snow and frosty breezes, but he liked jackets too. Heavy ones because he liked the weight as well as the warmth, worn to compensate for the fact Teddy ran cold more than he did hot -- like he did today, except this time he’d left his at home.

( There had been a work related incident. Something... unspecified had gotten into the fabric. Smelled awful. Not wearing that in public. )

“You know, you could not laugh at me,” Teddy huffed, rubbing his arms to preserve heat. “That shit smelled -- it could probably knock out your dragons faster than you can.” A grin at that. With the holidays coming closer, Teddy had been pressed to see his godbrother -- something he should have packed better for, according to said godbrother.“Shut up, James -- and will you stop stripping?” Are dragons not as lucrative as you initially thought?

“Oh, please.” James pushed his balled up jumper into Teddy’s hands. “Go on, take it. You could use it more than me.”

“It’s all that muscle. You’re like a bear -- just pack on a few more pounds and you’ll be ready for hibernation.”

Whatever James’s response, Teddy misses it as he tugs the too large jumper over his head. It would have fit better, as though it was the right length Teddy was more slight than James -- but it was body-warm all the same, even if he was lost in it.

“Now come on,” Teddy jerked his head, “you said we can find something to eat over that way, yeah? Let’s get there so I can buy you something already.”
