@lizowlet actually i just looked up a green apple sorbet recipe! there was a gelato place in NYC that had it but it was very inconvenient to get to.
@suspected-spinozist i roamed the ice cream aisle looking for interesting flavors and came up dry except for the french toast by Coolhaus, which is bad; and of course i will hit you up for the weird ice cream experience if i am ever in LA - do they have a place with the...chewy middle eastern ice cream? i forget what it's called or exactly where it's from, but I think you were the one that mentioned it initially.

the D'Aulaires Greek and Norse Mythologies. Formed a lot of my aesthetic sensibilities and primed me for the Orphic cosmology, because that is the version they use in the Greek one, weirdly.
