Hello. Do you have any songs you like with horses in them. I am making a playlist

This ask made me realize i dont listen to a lot of songs with horses !!! I must change this. Okay idk how much you read the tag but i had a lil moment about ben and peter's shirts in SUSHI (supernatural and star trek) and i know a lot of costumes were just people's clothes sooo wondering what discussions you had about fandom merch as costumes? What do you think of ben's supernatural fan future? Was he into superwholock? (-from, ofc sean, cardboard)

fandom was big for us so naturally the characters participated in fandom in various ways too

i’ll be honest, i don’t remember specific convos but i can open my hard drive and look at the lolilo costume boards claris put together any time so i know they were had and there was development from nmtd to lolilo for the characters - like, naturally claris would be the person to ask so probs best to check out tcw’s tumblr under #costume or #costuming or #lll costuming etc (i don’t remember the tag but there will be a specific tag) for her 10 year old answers to 10 year old questions (‘#the watch approves this question’ as another place to start)

i was gonna say balth and fred no fandom merch but then i remembered balth’s clock and freddie’s legolas shirt so nah they all have fun with it in different ways

costuming wise ben obvi big fandom head, absolutely a superwholock, but always bold shirts in his wardrobe so fandom ones just make sense too

peter canonical chris pine crush so that was the main thing with his (only?) fandom merch

don’t think fred wears legolas outside of FELLOWSHIP so can assume it’s more of a sleep shirt for her (not that she knows it, she wears it for the kitso of it all)

balth does some band shirts but prefers a different style

i’d love to say that like the rest of us, ben stopped watching spn at some point bc keeping up with it live was tiresome and then years just pass on by

but actually i think about how he latches on to things and think ben somehow did the improbable and watched all of supernatural as it aired and was on ground zero for nov 5 while bea was keeping up with the usa elections. this is also funniest outcome for ben’s viewing habits

Les Amis are aged down to little kids staging a "revolution" during swim lessons.

How the Future's Done by barricadeur - Another fic where Grantaire brings home a kitten.

Pining For You by The Librarina - Hallmark-style Christmas romcom where Grantaire's dad owns a Christmas tree farm and Enjolras is the lawyer fighting to help them save the farm from an evil corporation. SO good.

The Syntax of Things - OP deleted this one from the internet, but I have to put it on my list even though you can't read it anymore, because it was an incredible CourfJehan coffee shop AU with side Enjoltaire and I adored it so so much. Might be my favorite les mis oneshot of all time. And I love that title, jfc I wish I'd thought of it, it's so perfect.

so Jet Lag: the Game is a beautiful and goofy travel youtube series with three quirked up white boys (Sam Denby, Adam Chase, and Ben Doyle) and sometimes a fourth guest that utilizes the real world and its geography to play fun edutainment games for laufs. that's the pitch of it.

my Wirms ^

for a starting season, i personally recommend a few:

hide + seek: japan is the season i started with, and it's one of the best! the game mode is much more polished (this is where they debut their card game, so it's easier to follow the game if you're unfamiliar) and i love round robin seasons because you get to spend time with the boys solo. and narratively it's so much fun

schengen showdown is also one of their most recent seasons (with famous Guy Who's Been Everywhere, tom scott!!) and while it's a good deal heftier and chaotic in Things That Go On it's soo much fun. how can a european transit game be so exhilarating and stressful!!! also features badam being crazy gay villains and tom and sam getting Really Into their challenges. So Fun ^_^

and of COURSE i cannot forget race to the end of the world, the Aotearoa season with toby hendy as the guest :] other than the familiar landscape i actually think this season fits the Most with lolilo vibes to me. it's their roadtrip season, where they're racing from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South and have to navigate challenges on the way!!

honorable mentions: arctic escape (MY personal favorite guest season, with michelle khare!) and battle 4 america (with brian mcmanus). the america seasons get a lot of flack for not being public transit focused enough (due to. America) but i genuinely enjoy them soo much they're a lot of fun!!

TRUTHFULLY i think a lot of fans of nmtd / lolilo will really enjoy the vibes and silliness of jet lag!!! there's very much the great and wonderful feeling of watching people who are friends having somewhat stressful but mostly awesome emotional bonding experiences. i think many of the girlies who are into benedick hobbes' Whole Thing would enjoy adam chase. if you're big on wry and colorfully dressed beautiful men like peter donaldson you should join me in the Ben Hole.

oh they also do crazy things like wear girl disguises that strategically do nothing and get crazy drunk on camera at 3 pm on a thursday.

ok that's basically the big gist of it. mostly theyre a really fun show to put on if you are perhaps eating a Meal or maybe you are Doing Chores and need some white boys in the background. but they're ALSO some of the most fun content on youtube rn!! :] and i like em.

also a note on the RPF side:

genuinely you could watch this whole show and not even TOUCH any of the RPF. it is very much a section of this fandom that is self-contained to tumblr and ao3. common parlance is to lock your fics; the boys are aware of the ao3 and content being written, but know enough to know it's not their place to snoop. i respect anyone who doesn't touch a single one of my fics. however.

you may watch this show and look at the dynamics that happen. and you may think. hmm. this is like. kind of homoerotic. am i making that up? and then you may look at some gifsets on this site. and you may think hmmmm. that doesn't seem real. and then maybe you will look at the things that Goes On. with these challenges and the sheer amount of sadist delight and masochistic attitude they exhibit while doing them. and you may think to yourself. hmmmmmm. What Possibilities. Could This Lead Me To.
