Chasemarsh Monday fanfic recommendation: To see (you) with eyes unclouded by Tiger_with_spots (aka @llamas-dynamite )

Summary: "My parents banned me from watching most cartoons" Kate's brow furrowed, "except for veggie tales" she forfeited. Victoria dropped her pen, utterly baffled.

Because, really, how did she, Victoria Chase (fabulous famous photographer in the making) end up with Kate Marsh (genuine bible thumper and bunny lover) talking about Veggie Tales (of all things) in the first place?

OR IN SHORT

Max Caulfield saves Chloe Price and Arcadia Bay, but leaves collateral damage in the shape of two broken girls; Victoria Chase and Kate Marsh. Somehow, they both mutually help each other grow past their own individual traumas.

OR…

Victoria Chase becomes friends with Kate Marsh and it completely wrecks her gay heart.

My take: As I've said before, this fic takes a very realistic approach to developing Victoria and Kate's relationship from forgiveness, to reconciliation, to friendship, to perhaps more... WITHOUT giving Victoria a pass for her shitty behavior. It's absolutely the gold standard of Chasemarsh fanfic and I honestly don't think anyone writes these characters better, as a pair or individually. I would challenge anyone who is on the fence about Kate/Vic as a pairing to give this a try, as I truly believe you will come out the other side a convert. It is *that* good.

Prepare yourself for fluff, angst, gayngst, mutual pining, photography projects, anime appreciation, healing, misunderstandings, and hella gay romantic moments. Enjoy!

Chasemarsh Monday fanfic recommendation: Masquerade by Drew244 and Tiger_with_spots (aka @llamas-dynamite ).

Summary: “You want the bad girl.” she insists as she gently scratches my inner thigh. I know she’s goading me but nonetheless there’s a sharp flare of arousal within my lower abdomen.

“Behave and I’ll let you do your worst,” I blurt out.

Her pupils shrink, stunned, before they engorge with restrained lust…

Three years after the events of the game, Kate Marsh, now a college student, goes to a masquerade party and finally summons the courage to ask out a gorgeous girl to dance. Unfortunately this woman is not who she expected….

Kate asks the best and the worst woman to dance with her and everything spirals out of control (in the best and the worst way).

My take: Masquerade is a classic of the Chasemarsh fandom, told from a rare 1st person perspective of Kate Marsh, whose inner voice is as natural and dearing as it is unique. With probably one of the most inventive ways to reunite Kate and Victoria that I have ever seen, this fic cranks up the thirst to 11.5 before these two useless gays even figure out who each other is, and it only gets more deliciously dramatic from there. It also heavily features Max and Chloe as Kate's roommates, best friends, and the ultimate wing-women for all the Pricefield and platonic BroT3 Pricemarshfield fans out there!

Chasemarsh Monday fanfic recommendation: Jaguar by @llamas-dynamite

Summary: Kate’s been with Victoria for nearly six years and Victoria’s ascension in self-confidence has been only an honor to witness and source of great pride to have helped grow.

And near ecstasy to experience.

Or:

As Victoria matures, her confidence spreads to...all aspects of her life, including her and Kate’s intimate relationship.

IN SHORT:

Just a small snapshot of the sin that Kate and Victoria indulge in behind closed doors.

My Take: This one is the spiciest Chasemarsh fic I have recommended by far, and is in my opinion the gold standard for explicit LiS fanfiction (so definitely be mindful of the tags before you start reading!)

But what really elevates this fic into something incredibly special is Tigers' characterization, fantastic writing and use of metaphor, and the sheer amount of heart that fills every single word of this loving tale of healthy sexuality between two adults in the prime of their lives.
