Day 19 part 2
Well, my goal had been to get to 30k words today, and I missed that. But only by a little bit. I got stuck about 700 words short so...I think I'll go to bed so that I can get a fresh start on it tomorrow and hopefully know what I'm going to do about this snag that hit me. In the meantime here's the bit for today, hope you enjoy:
* * * By the time the Cat had woken up he was alone in the big bed in the strange room, in the strange castle. Suddenly deciding that he didn't like this idea after all he bolted upright and looked around him. Realizing that all was still fairly quiet he got up and began his usual morning routine. Once he was done with that he left the second story where the rooms where and went to go in search of the others. He had wandered through most of the bottom floor before he found a door half hidden in the shadows of a corner that had previously escaped his attention. He immediately realized that this means that the door must be investigated and he had to know what was on the other side of it.
The first day
So the first day is about over. And I did it! I'm so very happy and slightly proud of myself. I managed to write today. Not for schoolwork, not for a research project, but just for me. I wrote about 2500 words. And my story isn't shutting up yet. So I'm excited because there's more. That means, that I'll be able to pick it back up again tomorrow. That and I managed to put a little bit of a buffer in between me and that deadline. So if something happens and one of these nights I just plain suck, I don't have to over stress about it. All in all, a pretty good day.
Jack-o-Lantern
Jack for short, Here's what he looks like:
Jack is another one of the cats. He's black all over except a little tuxedo spot on his chest, and his face. His face is both black and white, and the white on it gives him a perfect skull face. He's pretty big, and slightly fluffy, and about the least graceful cat you'll ever see.
Here's a little bit about him:
Jack belongs to the Frog Princess. Her and Momma Frog fell in love with his skull face right away and brought him home as a kitten. Frog Princess' love for him has made him big and a little round and he definitely acts like her. He's sweet, and a little crazy, and if you get on his bad side he'll claw your face off.
