Love Is Dead... Happy Valentine’s Day! This Lagusta's Luscious 66% semi-hollow skull, flocked with charcoal cocoa butter and filled with five superstar bonbons: the cinnamon caramel, the violet caramel, the anatomical heart, the furious vulva, and the chocolate caramel. Comes in a box with a “LOVE IS DEAD” tag, wrapped with black compostable ribbon. (I have to call out the Furious Vulva chocolate - Solid dark chocolate. Pink peppercorns. Pink salt.) The Valentine’s Bark is designed with chocolate plus dried raspberries plus candied citrus plus white chocolate hearts plus “lovingly adorned” rose sugar. The box of hearts!!! Inspired by Victorian sweets, it holds Chocolate Caramels, Cherry Black Pepper Almond hearts, Violet Caramels with chocolate pendant adornments, Pear Riesling Cream hearts and Cinnamon caramels. The Cherry Black Pepper Almond hearts are made with cocoa butter for max shine, swiped with all-natural red coloring, backfilled with white chocolate, cast with dark chocolate, and filled with handmade almond paste, cherries, black pepper. The SUPER SEXY PEAR HEARTS! Per LL, this confection is hard to make unless pears are super ripe, and pear season in our town is very short (@jlorchards pears). 1) I’m reposting a photo of our chocolates from @rachaelraymag — what is the world now? 2) Now that the dust has settled somewhat, I wanted to say the biggest hugest THANK YOU for what was our biggest hugest Valentine’s season ever. Social media can be really dumb / addictive / low key horrifying but seeing stories and posts from everyone around the country tearing into their sweets made in two wildly cramped rooms in a small town in the mountains felt really special. Thank you for sharing. Also a huge huge (non-Trump-style) huge thank you to our crew, who worked so tirelessly to pull everything off.
