the band is very familiar with playing the singles, and plus it's incentive to buy tour tickets so you can hear these songs for the first time live at his shows. that's just how it goes
…….you do realize he’s playing 4 nights with 3 singles, right? also the whole goal of this week is to get people, both fans and the gp alike, excited for the album so they’ll go out to buy the album. of course tour is important and they want people to buy those tickets as well, but the main goal and focus right now is the ALBUM, and what better way to get people excited for the album than giving them even more of a taste of what’s on it, beyond just the singles that a lot of people have already heard, you know? also like…..the band is made up of professionals, and they’ve literally been rehearsing this album for weeks now, so i’m sure that no matter what niall decided he wanted to play this week, new song or not, the band would be more than comfortable doing it.

Could be he performed both NJ and AOAS and one will air tonight and one will air tomorrow?
unlikely, i think? it’s always possible, but what’s the advantage of that unless he’s planning on not coming in to the studio at all tomorrow, you know?

rand and i were LITERALLY just talking about it, and??? it’s possible???? it seems strange that they would tease a new song literally 24hours before it’s widely available, plus the setup for tonight - with the fun outfit and the apparently unusual staging niall was hinting at earlier (wandering thru backstage first, then ending on the stage, it seems like?) - definitely feels like it’s geared towards a fun and upbeat song, which aoas IS according to the people at the listening party last week 👀📝
Hello so I was thinking the thoughts and... Niall’s in the LLS studio for 4 nights, so that means 4 performances no? I assume the first three will be NJ, NTMY, & PALLOM, not necessarily in that order. But then would he sing something new on the last night? Because the last night (the 12th) will actually be airing right after the album drops. Also what do we think it might be? 👀
YES, i’ve been thinking about this too!! of the current singles that are out, my gut says that NJ is the only one guaranteed?? of course it’s not exactly a fair comparison, cause most other week-long takeovers tend to be the week after the album comes out rather than the week leading up, but for example with shawn’s, he did two singles the first two nights - nervous, lost in japan - then two album tracks the next two - like to be you with julia michaels, perfectly wrong. it was similar with harry in 2017 when he did sott, carolina, two ghosts, kiwi. so maybe that’s what we can expect? NJ and either NTMY or PALLOM (but probably NTMY), then two album tracks after that?
