Book!Grantaire is ugly. He was always ugly in my head and I never had a headcanon of Grantaire with a face like George Blagden because that ruins the vibes for me. Grantaire's ugliness is extremely important for his characterization. Having said that, George Bladgen seems to be the only actor who portrayed Grantaire's love for Enjolras on screen, within the limited screentime he had and through his expressions alone, and that counts for something. So I don't mind him being so pretty, when he conveys so well Grantaire's core trait aka his love for Enjolras. Is he responsible for OOC headcanons? Probably, but I don't care that much. Of course it would have been perfect if he was also physically aligned with book!Grantaire but we can't have everything.
