The battle had been going on for hours, what caused it? At this point neither of them remember but while macaque was facing one of the demons that were attacking he hears a scream and a thud. He turns over to where he heard the scream and sees tang, on the floor, covered in blood. While he was looking at that the demon he was fighting was trying to get back up but macaque just smacked him into the ground again. While the demon that did it finally processed why he was looking at Tang the way he was, he knew that macaque was worried. This made him think he had the high ground.

He started to say “ha what a weak human” he says that all the while with a smirk on his face, macaque now wasn’t just worried his blood was boiling with rage. “How dare he mock him” he thought to himself. All of a sudden another demon jumped at him, so he had to fend that one off. He looked back at them to see something that chilled him to the core, the demon that was mocking Tang before had his foot on Tang's head. That was the last straw.

He threw the demon he had in his hands and approached the other demon, the demon looked at him and now seeing his mistake is now obviously frightened. He gets his foot off tang and tries to say “hey come on, I was just joking” but he never got to utter a word before macaque had his hands wrapped around him, he was now in his kaju form and was livid. The demon tried to say something again but it was too late, he was already being thrown across the city. He looks over to Tang and carefully picks him up, he feels small puffs of air on his hand so he knew Tang was breathing. Now they just needed to get home.

(A little while later)

“So you're not able to get out of this form huh?” Tang was awake and his bed was outside so he could be with macaque who couldn’t change back from his kaju form. The big shadow creature shook its head and let out what seemed to be a sigh “hey it’s ok, at least you got me out of there” this made macaque smile. Macaque layer down so he could be at tangs level “hey don’t worry, I’ll stay as long as you need me to” tang said with a warm smile making macaque smile back. They stayed like that for a couple of hours until macaque was able to switch back, but even when that happened they just enjoyed each other’s company.
