Flower of a Poisonous Seed Part 189:
Part 188
TW: swearing,
"What's the yelling about?"
"Uhh..... What do you think of extending the vacation to 1000 years?"
Nezha: No. No, we can't. For... so, so many reasons. So many. Wish we could, though.
SWK: Why are you asking?
Sav: Ji-
RS: *covers his mouth* Something that can wait until after you two have properly enjoyed your honeymoon.
RS: Hey Savage, didn't you say you brought or parents something to celebrate?
Sav: Shoot! I almost forgot! Let's get the family together, I know I'm not the only one who brought something.
~~~
Jyoti and Jidu had shown up that morning with Yin Long, Li Mei, and Sha Miantiao not long behind.
Nezha was trying really hard to keep all of the faces and names straight. Didn't help that there were now five sets of identical twins running around.
Chang Weihou showed up too, and brought his new boyfriend with him. Weihou was a very large, muscular boatman. His boyfriend was a far smaller, being a very slender Water Monkey. At least Nezha could easily tell them apart from the rest of the family.
Nezha: Why did you have to make them all look exactly the same?
SWK: It's not my fault my husbands used me as a copy machine.
The littlest grandkids ran around with the toys they brought from home, and the elder ones caught up with their aunts and uncles.
Once everyone had been crammed into the living room, the families and siblings presented their gifts to the new(ish)ly wed.
~~~
Jinzha: *watching the news*
Jing: *announces the marriage*
Jinzha: *spits out his coffee*
Jinzha: FATHER, YOU DUMB BI-
Frankie: *starts playing with Jinzha's foot*
Jinzha: Uh... Bing-Bing. Father is being a dumb Bing-Bing. That's what I was going to say.
Frankie: *stares innocently*
Jinzha: I'm going to call Gege Muzha, okay?
Frankie: O-tay.
~~~
Muzha: I SAW!!!!! How stupid can Father possibly be to publicly shame our brothers like that? While they are away on their honeymoon no less???
Jinzha: I know! He really should have tho-...
Muzha: Brother? Is something wrong?
Jinzha: Who's watching our brother's house while he's away?
Muzha: Wait... Oh no.
Jinzha: Muzha, who's watching the house?!
~~~
River: I've seen you do some really stupid things, but wow. Just. Wow.
Jing: I know, I know, I know!
Jing: *sighs* *puts his face in his hands*
Jing: Are you going to make me sleep on the couch?
River: Pfft. Really?
Jing: Oh, thank go-
River: You're sleeping on the floor.
~~~
Muzha rushed over to Nezha's house immediately after the call. He hadn't skipped a class in... ever. Not without warning the faculty first and explaining his reasoning first, though.
Now seemed like a good time to cut class, though.
He arrived to see a set of vehicles he didn't recognize out in the driveway. No signs of destruction anywhere in sight. Still, Muzha proceeded with caution.
Muzha looked into the house through the window.
Three men he didn't recognize (at least with their backs turned to him) where just... sitting in his brother's living room, watching a new channel which likely covered his father's recent political catastrophe. All the channels were covering it.
Muzha decided to knock on the door.
One of the men got up to open the door.
Muzha swore he'd seen him before, he just couldn't remember where.
The man opened the door and seemed pleasantly surprised to see Muzha.
Pekoe: Hi Muzha, nice to see you again! I'm sorry, your brother isn't here at the moment, do you need him for something?
Muzha: Not really, I was just checking to make sure that my brother's house was safe.
Pekoe: Oh! Did Nezha send you? I assure you that we're doing just fine. I know he worries, but we know how to guard his house. We do train alongside him after all.
Muzha: That's where I recognize you from! You were one of my brother's "groomsmen" at the wedding. One of his platoon members, right?
Pekoe: Yes. Nezha introduced me to you, but I guess you forgot. My name's Pekoe, by the way. Over there are my boyfriends, also platoon members. That's Liang and the other one is Yi Min.
Muzha: Yes, I remember now. Nezha didn't send me, but my other brother and I were worried about what might happen in his absence. He didn't tell me anything about housesitters.
Pekoe: Yeah, he didn't want to leave the house unprotected after what happened to the last house.
Muzha: Thank goodness. After father's incident earlier, I was worried about the state Nezha's house might be in.
Pekoe: We heard. I sent a text to Nezha about it, but he hasn't responded yet. I assume he's busy. In the meantime, I asked the other members of our troop to keep an eye out for trouble.
Pekoe: We're a pretty close group, so they're definitely going to help keep the peace around here.
Muzha: Thank Buddha.
