What is "local color"? 🎨

Alas I didn't have enough time to elaborate on HOW to choose colors when your subject is in a different environment – that could be an entire full length YouTube video! But I hope understanding the difference between local color and non-local color helps 🫶

Local color

I took a stroll to Leek Cemetery Thursday to let Jess know we were back in town, although, given her position in the universe, she probably already knew.

As you can see, I encountered some local color along the way.. We're a week or two shy of the peak autumn splendor here in the southern Lower Peninsula.

The fall-foliage monitors say the trees north of the 45th Parallel are at the top of their game right now; we'll head north in a couple of days to see for ourselves.

it's a great time of year to be in Michigan.
