Hey there Tumblr in the United States, so something I really want to talk about are CAP agencies. Don't know what that is? Don't worry, a lot of people don't but that why I'm here to educate you!

CAP stands for Community Action Program/Partners and basically if you are low income, elderly disabled and/or have children in your home you can totally apply for so many different programs that might be able to help/save your life through your local agency! For example, if you use heating oil during the winter, there are programs that can help you get free/emergency fuel. There are programs that can help you get better access to healthy, locally-grown food. There are programs revolving around childcare and headstart. There are programs for rental assistance, transportation and so much more! There are case managers, people that can repair your house, help you find recovery options and so much more.

Please, I wish more people knew about CAP agencies and how much they can help you if you are truly struggling. Most of these programs are based off income and if you contact an agency and follow through with the steps, you can and will get help SOMEHOW. These agencies have connections to so many local resources that could be beneficial to you or your family and friends.

Please look up your local agency and read about what services/programs they offer on their website or call them. So many people want to help and these are the local programs you can trust because it's literally someone within your own county/town/state trying to help you.

I just want the word to spread; I work for a CAP agency myself and so many people don't know about these programs or are too proud to even consider how much better their life could be with just a little help. Plus, the more people that use these programs, that often means that much more federal grant money gets put towards these programs which means more help for more people.

Also, if you are in a situation where you are being abused or maybe you suspect elderly abuse in your home, a lot of us that work there are mandated reporters which means if we suspect abuse based on reasonable evidence/you tell us you or someone else is being abused/neglected, we can and will report it for you; full stop. Obviously, this can be amazing or horrible depending on your stage of plan so please just consider this if you apply but please know that someone there always wants to help you.

Twin Cities mutuals, there is currently a funding push on to use Black Friday sales for purchasing supplies for the unhoused. If we gotta capitalism, let's capitalism for those among us who need necessities. (if you are not in funds, as many of us are not these days, there are also options to donate time, either helping transport and hand out supplies, or doing behind the scenes work like answering emails or placing supply orders when they are funded)

The Hunt Begins

Hello, everyone.

It's been a while since I've started a blog, but I wanted everything in one place. Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Charlie Seon. I grew up in rural north Alabama, and I recently settled in Colorado with my husband and daughter. I'm a 28-year-old artist and mom, and I started this blog to track down some precious mementos that were sold out of my great grandparents' house instead of to the family that wanted them.

I will provide photos for as much as I can, as well as precise dates and information whenever I can do so. I'm asking the community at large, and particularly those in Marshall County, Alabama, to share my story and help me find these items. My next post will contain the full story.

Two years ago in flow of inspiration I want to do something which would help locally. As the All Saints' Day was coming I choiced to start some kind of event named “Light up the snitch”. The main idea was to clean up forgotten graves and put some colorful lights on them. Money collected from grants would be used to buy candles. I’m scouting so that kind of proposition is real to organize and to do in easy way. I consulted with people involved in organizing and was told that this idea sounded good but I should try with something smaller than all cementery. So I turned on online map and found interesting part. Also I asked colleague to print me that and I got it on paper. Days were passed by. Nothing was done and it is my explantation for “WHY YOU HAVE PRINTED MAP OF CHILDREN’S CEMETERY ON YOUR PIN BOARD WTW MAN”. 

It started with the desire to do something good and now I’m psychopatic werido.
