yeah roy is def not who he used to be before n52 but as someone who got into comics only recently, n52 stuff are bascially the only things ive read for jason or roy,,, so yeah i know dickroy used to be much more popular and that roy now isnt the roy from before and oh nooo it fucked up his whole growth !! but i dont care because this man calls jason jaybird and they live together and have a joined bank account and thats the only thing i know . there are 80+ years of comics do u want people to read all of it and mix it up to make an Average personality for a character ? dc doesnt even do it ??? why should i . im gonna cherry pick. anyway they’re in love

Roy Harper :) for the character ask

Sexuality Headcanon: Roy is attracted to basically everyone on the planet. Also, if you’re nice to him for ten minutes (or mean to him for five), he will fall in love with you. Gender Headcanon: I think he’s cis but not too hung up on traditional notions of masculinity. A close friendship and first romance with an Amazon at a formative age was very good for him. A ship I have with said character: JASOOOOOON. I also do really love him with both Donna and Jade, but not as endgame. A BROTP I have with said character: The Fab Five, the Arrowfam, and Kyle. A NOTP I have with said character: I can’t really do any Arrowcest ships (including Dinah with any of the kids). Again, I don’t mind if other people do! It’s just not for me. A random headcanon: Roy’s cooking prowess is limited to Ollie’s chili, pancakes, and any food a five-year-old really likes (grilled cheese, mac and cheese, hot dogs, etc.). General Opinion over said character: I LOVE HIM. I’ve said it before, but a redheaded archer with daddy issues and a homoerotically codependent relationship with his best friend? It’s like he was built in a lab just for me. <333

Do you have any more thoughts on Dick’s life in the circus as a shifter? How does that affect his life originally with Bruce and then change once more shifters/siblings come around?

DICK WOULD SOOO SHIFT AND HANG OUT WITH SOME OF THE ANIMALS most of them recognize that it’s *him* so they let him in,,,, baby panther dick gets groomed by the mom lion all the time,,, she jst sees him as one of her babies,,,,,,,,,,

on a more bittersweet side, he’s raised to be an acrobat, one of the flying grayson, and it’s hard for him bc his parents are both bird shifters who can actually fly and are not afraid of falling bc they can catch themselves. dick has to learn not to be afraid of falling or of heights bc he’s not a bird, he has to learn to fly as a boy.

after bruce takes him in he’s sad slash angry over his parents and he’s learning to trust bruce so he doesnt shift until after a while in front of him,,, at first it’s a bit of a shock bc they didn’t expect it and also the manor never to their knowledge housed a shifter, even less a panther one .... there are some adjustments to be made, alfred gave up on the floors bc everytime dick shifts he ends up scratching floors w his claws,, they get some stuff for dick to play with while shifted in the yard... at some point they prob jst build a big cat tree but Challenging... bruce gets used to having a little - then not so little then as big as him if not more imposing - fur ball cuddling up to him at all times...

dick is rly happy to have other shifters joining after him !!!! he gets to play ! and cuddle ! and just hang out as shifters !!!! hes rly happy when jason joins bc he can tell he’s not comfortable at first and he makes it his mission to ease him into the family,,, n then tim is a Whole Other Situation,,, steph and dick are actually always running around together :(( they’re so good :(( i love them :((( !!!!!!! cass being able to fly hurts his heart a little at first and he’s a bit blue when shes in bat form but she doesnt take it for herself n jst nuzzle his face gentle,,,, duke is a perfect nap companion,,, n then damian !!!! he drags damian everywhere bc he doesnt want to make him feel singled out bc he’s human (at first), n they got through the big exercise tree outside together all th time,,, play catch,,, jst,, dick teaching damian to be playful,, good things,,,, dick is jst a rly good big brother in this im sof

Oh I just thought! Does Harley still do stuff in the shifter AU??? Bc I’m just imagining her just being so excited about hyena Jason and if she ever knew he was self conscious about that form she’d be like “you are BEAUTIFUL”

AA YES HARLEY STILL HAPPENS altho she prob ditches the joker much earlier than in comics idk and shes a friend of selina and she knows bruce is batman n stuff n knows that he has kids and she meets jason and shes so !!!!!!!!! excited bc hes a big boy and hes beautiful and she gives him so much PETS and she keeps smiling at him and anyway thats the story of how harley emotionally adopted jason

i dont have a song that reminds me of them together specifically but, a jason song would be nunchuk by saint phnx and a roy song would be i’m not a vampire by falling in reverse (for that one its more. the energy and the vibe of the song that the lyrics !!!)
