Show breakdown - Panto
Panto; Hansel and Gretel: I played: Music Director, with a small cameo in a song near the end. Rehearsals were: intended to be Monday and Wednesday but ended up being just about every day. I loved MDing. I’ve taught kids before, and lead vocal groups but this was my first full music director role. Whilst i didn’t always see eye to eye with the director, I’m proud of the show we put on, and many of the chorus members, and main characters told me they learnt a lot from the way I was teaching them. I can’t wait to do this again next year, but I think i’ll take a more active role in the organisation as scheduling caused a lot of issues for the director and myself. I think that studying applied musicianship (aka music theory) REALLY helped here as I had to notate the WHOLE score.
I met some great friends here, and even my two band mates. I can’t wait for next year
