A game concept based on the topic of balance I made for the Crystal Canvas digital art contest 2021 and have won the first prize.
The Shrine is a point and click narrative puzzle game taking the player on a hunt for variouso bjects scattered around a mysteriously abandoned village somewhere in rural Poland. The life quest of the game's protagonist has become to collect as much of what's left of the place into their own house and build a memorial to the lost, but in this endeavour they have lost a sense of self, being devoured by living vicariously through found objects and the stories of their owners. The game explores the concept of balance as the literal balancing of objects atop each other through creating artistic compositions of balanced objects and achieving elaborate towering structures. The concept is inspired by the art of rock stacking and houses of cards. The act of correctly balancing found objects will trigger the mystery to unfold. The player learns the history of the ghostly village through looting various locations and building these balanced art compositions. It's a story of an unbalanced individual who lost themselves to an obsession with balance and a concept for a game that explores the consequences of perfectionism while visually trying to recreate a neurotic state of mind.
So there's this older drawing of mine from one of the roleplays I did with former friends I've tried to turn into something new several times now, but I guess looking at the original is still kinda painful for me since I miss those simpler times we had together. Anyways, putting those sad feelings aside I really liked the main concept for the background which is this tree and that's why I decided to make it into a brand new location altogether in the Ghost Zone. I'm calling it Ash-Stone Island where a very special crystal resides with the power to fully resurrect a ghost for 24 hours based on an original idea I once planned to use for a book about a human phoenix. Problem is, it only works once and is extremely difficult to find unless you know exactly were to look. You'd need something like the Infimap to find it since the island is constantly jumping locations. Also, if a spirit uses it (aka a ghost that was never human) it lets them experience a mortal life too. But as you can imagine, it's not as appealing of a concept to someone who has never known what it's like to be alive or have a family you're born into.
one of my first attempts at Adobe Illustrator, a concept for a location for my graphic novel idea, The Miracle Effect.
Drawing of an estate for that I'm using in a little self indulgent self-insert project.
"WELCOME TO SUNNY ROSELINE CITY!"
Roseline city is the primary location in roseline comics (might change the city name? Idk.) Drawn once again by my friend @bonk-bonk-bonk-bonk-bonk-bonk
This was absolutely amazingly done and fits the exact vibe I wanted. I absolutely adore the color scheme, and the fox graffiti means Arthur mordreds been out and about. Wonder what that sly fox is up to..?
very old one but still good cafe with liminal vibes. it wasnt all made by me i used free chair, tables, plants models and added some custom pattern to 'em
A character living in an obscenely large and obviously dangerous weapon but just goes about their day using the various mechanisms that make up the machine as household amenities.
The water cooling system is used for showers, the ammunition magazine is used for storage (the actual munitions are now tasteful home decor), the targeting computer has a bunch of programs installed for personal use, the barrel is now a skylight that lets light down into the bedroom and can be closed when needed.
