“It’s been a long time…. Chell”
Concept that won't leave me alone;
If Grimora had the OLD_DATA at the start of the game, I reckon she'd go for a dungeon crawler. Imagine, you wake up in darkness and in the distance sits a candleabra and some decrepit tombstones. An ominous voice speaks from behind them, narrating your journey and giving cryptic hints, slowly becoming less encouraging and more frigid.
The crypt is divided by checked tiles and the candle will only reveal ones in your nearest vicinity. For every step you take, ghosts and ghouls in the darkness will move- hostile or otherwise- and will engage if you move onto the same tile. For every life lost, a candle is extinguished, and your vision impaired as a consequence.
It's essentially a reimagining of her segment in Act 2 and the board she has in the finale, just given a more 3D spin compared to Leshy and P03's tabletop gameplay. Once you actually get to her, you see her chessboard and the pieces she's been controlling to battle you. Now that you've bested her ghouls, she wants to add you to her collection-
oh shit how cool would it be if you're roaming around and you find a ghoul with the name from your last run :0c maybe instead of having a death card, they offer you one of the cards from your old deck? Or maybe you'd have to fight them, and if successful they give a useful buff or item?
Her quill could be quite lethal, in a sense that if any of your cards perish in battle, she'll use it against you- she may even use your past deaths as randomised cards with varying power discrepancies. In place of Leshy borrowing the moon, she could summon the Bone Lord as the third phase gimmick. Any 'bleedable' cards on the table will be devoured instantly on his turn, satiating him for the following turn and giving the player a handful of bones... idk smthn like that
This shits so clear in my minds eye, but illustrating it has been a pain. Now that it's out in written form, maybe I can focus on the other concept gnawing on my corpse?
Gameplay mechanic concept!
WELL I PRESENT YALL THE LEFT BEHIND TOONS CONCEPT MECHANIC!!!
Extra notes; All characters have an unique effect with a special name only they can get
I won't go very in depth about that because I want people to drop their own ideas if they actually want to use the concept,
If you wanna use the concept and idea please credit me, but feel free to use
Necro AU: Character Profile - The Executioner
Image has been created using the BING image generator.
Title: High Judge of the Adarian State Committee
Affiliation: The Adarian State Committee
Name: Rejected.
Race: Undead
Sex: Male
Age: 156, age of death unknown.
Nationality: Umbrian
Height: 2.3 meters, modified.
Short description: The Executioner of Umbra, feared by wrongdoers, respected by mortal denizens, envied by inferiors. Champion of Adaru, The Bearer of Pain.
Long description: The menacing scratching of a claymore being dragged through the streets wreaks havoc in the souls of the evil, and brings peace to the hearts of the righteous. The High Judge, commonly known as The Executioner, is a being of few words and many actions. Instead of rotting within the halls of the court, The Executioner takes to delivering the punishments himself, spilling blood in names of The Great One, The Father, and prosperity of Umbra. A champion of Adaru, The Bearer of Pain, he delivers judgment true to the laws of both The Necro Archon and his monstrous patron - they are just, yet slow and brutal. His appearance, let alone the long list of executed sentences, is enough to make any would-be criminal think twice before breaking bad.
Visual appearance: Tall. Body completely wrapped in tight bandages, no nose shape, no ears, no hair. Wears a formal, black unbuttoned overcoat with a high collar. Golden tassels on the shoulders, golden buttons and golden-thread lining. Formal, white, but dirty gloves. The bandage wrapped chest is visible, with well defined muscles. The skin that is visible in spots is grayish-white with some scars and deformations in places. Leather belt with a golden decoration depicting the eye symbol. Black pants with blue stripes on the sides, tall officer’s leather boots.
Personality: Unrelenting, focused on his role, reserved in speech. A devout believer in the Necro Archon who centered his existence around the Four Principles. Merciless against enemies, patient with those he protects. Works alone or with his trusted companions. No tolerance for hesitation or compassion amongst the Committee.
Model: Very Tall Male
Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Vision: Hydro
Weapon: Claymore
Constellation: Ordo Aeternus
Normal Attack: Adarian Bladework - Rend
Performs up to 6 consecutive strikes, dealing PHYS damage.
Charged Attack: Consumes stamina to perform consecutive slashes. The final attack deals increased damage.
Plunge Attack: Strikes down from above, dealing AOE damage.
Elemental Skill: Mark of Agony
The Executioner points at an enemy, applying the Sigil of Judgement to them. The Sigil of Judgement considerably decreases the target’s DEF. Attacks against the marked target have an additional 15% CRIT RATE. The Sigil persists even if The Executioner is off-field.
After marking the enemy, The Executioner releases a shockwave around him. The shockwave has low Hydro DMG, but has a high stagger chance and moderate pushback.
Skill CD: 8.0 seconds.
Sigil Duration: 12.0 seconds.
Up to 12 Sigils can exist at a time.
DEF reduction scales with ATK.
Voiceover: “I condemn you.” “You can’t run.” “No mercy.”
Elemental Burst: Final Judgement
The Executioner releases a torrent around himself, dealing Hydro DMG and lifting up surrounding opponents.
Every survivor gets the Sigil of Judgement applied to them for a duration of 15 seconds.
Final Judgement has a 30% CRIT DMG bonus against opponents marked with Sigil of Judgement.
Final Judgement has an Energy Cost of 60.
Voiceover: “There is no escape!” “Suffer the consequences!” “In His name!”
Passive I: Endless Hunt
Killing an enemy marked with Sigil of Judgement grants an additional 3 Energy to the active character. When The Executioner defeats a marked enemy, he gains 4 Energy, and grants 3 Energy to every character in the party.
Passive II: Marked For Death
When Final Judgement is used, opponents marked with Sigils of Judgement that are not hit by the generated torrent get the Iron Maiden applied to them for a duration of 5 seconds. The Iron Maiden generates two instances of Hydro DMG per second, scaling off of The Executioners ATK, and immobilizes the affected enemies.
Passive III: Thorough Search
Upon picking up an enemy drop, there is a 10% chance to pick up double the loot. Works only if The Executioner is in the current party.
Bonus Ability: Proof Of Guilt
Replaces the special dish ability. When a higher rarity item belonging to a bandit type enemy (Treasure Hoarders, Fatui, Ronin, Eremites) is crafted by The Executioner, there is a 20% chance to obtain double the product.
Constellation I: Rapid Execution
When an opponent marked with a Sigil of Judgement cast by Mark Of Agony is defeated, nearby enemies of the same type or affiliation (type takes priority) get a Sigil of Judgement applied to them as well, but with a duration of 6 seconds and a 10% CRIT RATE bonus.
Constellation II: Field Judgement
When Mark Of Agony is cast, The Executioner gains a shield that absorbs up to 40% of his total HP. It absorbs the damage type of the marked target 300% more effectively. Can occur once every 30 seconds.
Constellation III: Purification By Agony
Increases the level of Mark Of Agony by 3.
Constellation IV: Forced Revelation
Iron Maiden gains an additional 1 instance of Hydro DMG per second.
Constellation V: Rites Of Cleansing
Increases the level of Final Judgement by 3.
Constellation VI: Tides Of Pain
When an opponent marked by Sigil of Judgement is defeated, a small backlash occurs, dealing AOE Hydro damage to surrounding enemies.

A game concept based on the topic of balance I made for the Crystal Canvas digital art contest 2021 and have won the first prize.
The Shrine is a point and click narrative puzzle game taking the player on a hunt for variouso bjects scattered around a mysteriously abandoned village somewhere in rural Poland. The life quest of the game's protagonist has become to collect as much of what's left of the place into their own house and build a memorial to the lost, but in this endeavour they have lost a sense of self, being devoured by living vicariously through found objects and the stories of their owners. The game explores the concept of balance as the literal balancing of objects atop each other through creating artistic compositions of balanced objects and achieving elaborate towering structures. The concept is inspired by the art of rock stacking and houses of cards. The act of correctly balancing found objects will trigger the mystery to unfold. The player learns the history of the ghostly village through looting various locations and building these balanced art compositions. It's a story of an unbalanced individual who lost themselves to an obsession with balance and a concept for a game that explores the consequences of perfectionism while visually trying to recreate a neurotic state of mind.
Posted these on Twitter in a long thread hoping to show SEGA that Amy do desire to be able to play as her in games like Sonic Mania and Sonic Origins. So, while I don't ask that you like my gameplay concept for Amy pre-/without Piko Piko Hammer, I do ask that if you have a Twitter account to hop over and interact with the thread in a positive way as well as getting your friends, mutuals, and followers who are also Amy fans to so we can show SEGA that Amy fans want her and are willing to put in the effort to be heard.
Thank you everyone. Here's the link
What would you guys think of using cards as choices?
This might entail an action's title on the left, likelihood of success on the right, and a description of what your character would do.
Of course, your decisions would be timed (as you can see on the left), with about a minute to read through and decide. Perhaps time would be awarded or taken away depending on your success in an encounter.
Necro AU: Character Profile - Aldehan Adler
Image has been generated using the BING image generator.
Title: General Belligerent
Affiliation: The Legion, Umbra
Name: Aldehan Adler
Race: Undead
Sex: Male
Age: Over 1000, died at 37.
Nationality: Mondstadtian
Height: 213 cm
Short description: General of the Umbrian IX Continental Army and the VII Abyssal Army. A liche of notable age, Aldehan Adler originates from a time when the Lawrence Clan was still in power in Mondstadt. To this day, his hatred for them burns bright.
Long description: Aldehan Adler, born during the time of the Old Aristocracy, rose from a commoner to banner commander, one of the only known cases of this occurring during the highly chauvinistic rule of the Lawrences. Despite the loathing of his royal peers, Adler carried out his duties and devoted his life to fighting the Abyss and human invaders. He was popular amongst the people and the soldiers alike - not only was he one of them, a low-born, but all he expected of his men he expected of himself. Tough but fair, Adler marched with his troops for miles while aristocracy rode horses, he slept with the soldiers in thin tents, cracked his teeth on the same hardtack and stood with them on the field of battle. Before he could become influential enough to challenge the status quo, Adler and his loyalists were murdered in a fraternal battle after being deemed "corrupted by the Abyss". The Great One selected him for his unwavering will and leadership skills. He is as popular amongst High Undead footsoldiers as in his life; though most of his time he spends in the company of his undead troops, whom the Necro Archon bound to his soul. Wherever the turmoil of war takes Adler, his men will follow.
Visual appearance: Tall skeleton, clad in heavy armor. A characteristic dent in the jawbone, related to his death by axe. Red hood over his skull, topped off with a crown of a Lawrence lord. The hood extends into a thin cloak, with the Eye emblem woven in the middle with golden thread. Thick leather gloves, high, solid leather boots. Double belts with a simple clamp. Sheathed sword always on the hip, fully exposed. Decorated with Lawrence Insignia hanging off his armor, wrapped around his arms or integrated into the outfit itself. Some have dried blood still on them. When engaged in combat, Adler summons a banner in his left hand, bearing the mark of his unit - an ascending eagle with the wings pointed downward.
Personality: Charismatic, but ruthless. Well spoken, even if he remains stern for most of the time. Fearless leader preferring to command from the field rather than a safe tent. Believes that the general's presence among the ranks, as well as fighting among them, boosts morale more than anything. Cares for those under his command, it doesn't matter if they are dead or living. He will go to the Abyss itself for them, and they will willingly follow. Prone to brutality in combat, and lack of mercy afterwards; believes in might-makes-right. His word is law for his troops. Devout believer in The Necro Archon who prays often.
Model: Tall Undead
Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Vision: Necro
Weapon: Sword
Constellation: Gladius Mortis
Normal Attack: Qablian Bladework - Command
Performs up to 5 slashes with his sword, dealing PHYS DMG.
Charged Attack: Strikes his banner into the ground, dealing AoE PHYS DMG and calling all summoned units to him.
Plunge Attack: Strikes from above with his banner, impaling it into the ground and dealing AoE PHYS DMG.
Elemental Skill: Unholy Summoning
Press: Adler points the sword towards the nearest enemy, and sacrifices 15% of his MAX HP to summon a Rostkrieger through an Abyssal gateway.
Hold: Adler waves his banner, disbanding all summons. When a summon is disbanded within 5 seconds of being summoned and does not take any damage, Adler receives all of the spent HP back.
A total of 3 Rostkrieger can be summoned at a time.
For every summon present on the field, Adler gains a 20% HP Bond of Life until the summon is either disbanded or dies in combat.
Rostkriegern have a lifespan of 30 seconds, and can be summoned only in combat. Upon leaving combat, the Rostkriegern are disbanded, and the Bond of Life is cleared.
Rostkriegern's stats are based on a percentage of Adler's stats, including HP, DEF, and ATK. DMG% BONUS, CRIT RATE and CRIT DMG remain identical to Adler's.
Rostkriegern will attack opponents in melee, attracting their attention. They count as summons, meaning that even bosses and Traunce Bosses will attack them. Bosses will still prioritize the player if they are within reach.
Rostkriegern are disbanded once Aldehan Adler falls.
Skill CD: 25.0 seconds.
Note: All summons persist even if the summoner isn't the active character.
Voiceover:
Press: "To me!"
Press: "Rally!"
Press: "Arise!"
Hold: "Withdraw!"
Hold: "Stand down!"
Hold: "They're mine!"
Encyclopedia: Rostkriegern
So-called in old ghost stories from Mondstadt, the "Rust Knights" - or Adlerites, as they are known by their peers - are undead who served and died alongside their general. They are equipped with Necro Cores, but they cannot be destroyed so long as Adler lives: he can return them to a new body at any moment. Unlike regular Rankmen and Grenadiers, they are permitted to loot, torch, massacre or capture their enemies and their belongings at the discretion of Adler, not Mission Control, as such is the dance of war. They don't need to wear regulatory uniforms and may adorn themselves with trophies taken off their kills.
Pros:
+ High HP
+ Good DEF
+ Armor + Shield
+ Ranged attack - a javelin throw every 10.0 seconds
+ Good lifespan
Cons:
- Weak ranged attack
- Slow movement speed
- Melee attacks can’t reach floating enemies
- When destroyed with Pyro, the Rostkrieger will explode, dealing damage to everyone around
Voiceover:
Summoned: "Death to the mortals!"
Summoned: "General?"
Summoned: "I am yours to command."
Kill: "Feed the worms!"
Kill: "For The Great One!"
Kill: "Blood!"
Elemental Burst: Death March
Adler places down his banner, creating a Banner of Slaughter. All summons within the radius of Banner of Slaughter gain Necro infusion. A knockback occurs, dealing Necro DMG.
Once per 3.0 seconds, spawns a Wight. A max of 10 Wights can exist at the same time.
Wights have a lifespan of 10.0 seconds.
All summons within Banner of Slaughter’s radius have their lifespans refreshed every 1.0 seconds.
Banner of Slaughter duration: 15.0 seconds
Banner of Slaughter range: 30 meters
Energy cost: 80
Banner of Slaughter cooldown: 30.0 seconds.
Animation: The camera zooms into Adler's face. The white points in his eyes glow bright red. Adler lifts his banner above his head and strikes it into the ground, with the camera zooming out to capture the ghostly shapes of soldiers behind him.
Voiceover:
“Weaklings, bow before His might!”
“Stand with me, or perish!”
“Cull the weak, slay the strong!”
“Cravens, they flee before us!”
Encyclopedia: Wight
In Umbra, the word "Wight" is a broad term encompassing all skeletal Low Undead meant for military use, both by the Necro Archon and other forces of the world. Umbrian Wights are equipped with standardised gear and clear color markings; they fulfill the orders of their chosen lead, but any High Undead can take charge in an emergency. Usually, Wights are rallied into groups of thirty and led by two Grenadiers that fall back if they are defeated.
