Loch Eck, Cowal
The Whistlefield Inn, Loch Eck Dunoon.
Vintage Scottish postcard of Whistlefield Inn, with horse and carriage, circa 1920.
A variety of recent sources and an investigation give the date of the inn as the late 17th century, one specific date says it was originally built1663, but has obviously been rebuilt since then, it was originally a drover's inn on the route between Strachur and Ardentinny. It sits about close to the eastern shores of Loch Eck and still trades to this day

Day 3 - Beach weather at Loch Eck. Well....4C and cloudy if I'm honest, but given it was dry and calm that tends to qualify as beach weather n Argyll it seems ;-)
Loch Eck In The Blue Hour by Click And Pray Via Flickr: It's been a while since I did any night photography and I forgot how peacful and theraputic it was :) This photo was taken on a beach just south of the Coylet Inn looking north up Loch Eck.
