Today we head off on our next #wildlife #holiday #adventure as we visit #Yorkshire with the view of going to RSPB #BemptonCliffs to see many of favourite birds in the seabirds, like the #Puffin the first picture in this set my picture of one last year on #SkomerIsland, #Pembrokeshire, #Wales where I’ve seen them 5 times. I have been to Yorkshire only once before actually this year as I passed through it on the train on route to the #Scotland birding/wildlife trip that was my present for my 21st birthday in January. So the other three pictures in this set are ones I took on that trip which I happened to have saved on my phone, Red Squirrel at Dorback, Crested Tit at RSPB #LochGarten and snowy view at Garbole, Strathdearn. EJ, Loch Garten’s most famous and successful breeding female #osprey May have died from old age. She has always returned to #lochgarten by April but her nest currently stands empty and overgrown with weeds. At 21 years old, she has lived to an incredible age for her species and has amazed the world with the adversities she has had to overcome. This image was taken in 2013 when a group of us watched in awe as she grabbed an enormous fish, dropped it, dived to grab it again only for the fish to drag her around in circles! As you can see, the fish was huge but EJ would not be beaten and won her prize. Good night EJ.
