"Pussy on lockdown" is not a phrase i thought I'd read today, nor one that should've made me laugh so much 🤣.
That was my reaction too! Followed by oh dayuuum 🤣❤️
How are R&S in Lock it down doing after nearly four years of this pandemic? 😳 🙂
They are well; they’re really well. There is no better foundation for a relationship than fifteen years of friendship, it turns out.
They are together. Like, together, together. Each night they sleep in the same bed. Sirius snores and Remus knows the exact angle to position him so that it stops, or at least lessens. They’ve got a hamster called Ramona on whom Sirius dotes horribly. Remus hasn’t been able to break it to him that the hamster in the cage in their living room is already Ramona 2.0. Ramona the first keeled over one day in June after a final feast of celery and carrots and Remus hastily snuck out to procure another.
Remus is back at school. It’s been a month since the holidays ended and he’s already looking forward to October half term. He has not been able to get the kids enthused about literature and he feels exhausted. They’ve had conversations about whether teaching is right for him in the long run, but he’s terrified by the prospect of doing something else. They’ll work it out together.
Sirius is back at work too, but he’s switched it up a little after his previous employer dragged their feet about bringing him back from furlough. He now works as a climbing instructor at a local activity centre. It gives him an excuse to be active and enthusiastic all day long. It also means he can get all of that out of his system before Remus gets home so that their energy levels are a little more even.
Remus has reverted to getting his hair cut by a professional, but secretly, he thinks that Sirius did a better job, and he still gets Sirius to comb his fingers through his curls because it reminds him of the lovely, magical night when they did that for the first time and didn’t look back.
They did go to Skye (during the wettest, most miserable August they can remember). They walked until they had blisters on the soles of their feet and their clothes were soaked through. And in the evening, after a shower, after putting on something dry and cosy, they curled up with a glass of wine in front of a log fire that crackled away in their borrowed lounge. They had cosy, wine-warm sex and may or may not have kept their socks on. They befriended locals and Sirius “perfected” his Scottish accent and fell in love with every bearded ginger man who served him a pint (there were lots and he was in heaven, although none of them were a patch on his lovely Remus Lupin. He told Remus this every five minutes, and every five minutes, Remus rolled his eyes, quietly pleased.)
They had both, on some level, feared what would happen when the world began to open up, feared that once it wasn’t just the two of them, some of the magic might wear off. But it hasn’t, and it won’t. And since things have started to go back to normal (as normal as they can be when this shitter of a disease still lies lurking in the doorway, as if to remind them that all these freedoms can be taken away again), they have learned together how to be a couple. Like most things they do, it’s a little unorthodox but it works.
Sirius babysits Harry every Tuesday. He’s a proper little human now who can talk and walk and sing. Sirius has taught him French swear words and Harry has thoughts and opinions of his own. He can throw a tantrum like nobody else. Harry refers to these days as ‘Uncle Sirius fun days’ and Sirius comes home from their antics with a grin the size of the Suez Canal, every single time.
Sirius tells Remus he loves him every day. Sometimes he says it twice. Remus doesn’t say it as often but he has this small little smile on his face every time he hears it, and Sirius knows that he feels the same.
They talk about the future, sometimes, but there’s no rush. Neither of them are going anywhere. For now, they are content to do filthy, lovely things to each other; to watch murder mysteries, drink tea, and to love each other fiercely, tenderly; to love each other well.
We need to lockdown gay sexual encounters until this is under control.
Remember when you weren’t allowed to go to church during the pandemic, and you were scolded for trying to live a normal life?
This is the second primarily gay pandemic and I don’t hear anyone talking about controlling the primary activity that is causing the spread of this virus.
Remember when you were scolded for wanting to attend your grandma’s funeral during COVID?
A guy in this article, a gay man, almost certainly knew about monkeypox and how it spreads, and yet he goes to a bathhouse in Chicago to do who knows what with multiple other gay men. He doesn’t have to do this. It’s completely unnecessary.
The regular monkeypox strain kills 5%, and this version kills 1%. Similar to COVID, but we should also keep in mind there probably aren’t a lot of geriatric nursing home patients at pride parades and bathhouses. This thing might be 5x as dangerous as COVID was for your typical young to middle age adult.
Your church and business were closed down, but this guy’s bathhouse is still open? Pride parades still going on? Grindr still works?
What’s going on? No restrictions at all?

As epidemics go, the monkeypox outbreak should have been relatively easy to snuff out. The virus does not spread efficiently except through
i feel like you and loki (the horse god of mischief) would get along really well
I am fully aware you meant the "Norse" god of mischief, however that typo is most excellent when considering that one particular legend in which he transfigured into a horse and became pregnant. Merlin, that must have been humiliating.
This is why one does not try inter-species seduction.
I got called into work tonight and if a Beauyasha kiss happens on the first episode I’ll have missed live in months happens TONIGHT I will SCREAM
“Dr. Charles after all these years...all these years, my father walks back into my life and it turns out...he never loved me...he can never love me.”
